Got some vape mail at work this morning! I'm on the fence about the magma. I just built it, single coil, 24g Nichrome 6 wraps, .25 ohm. I'm not getting all the hype. This is the Infinite 1:1 and the craftsmanship is pretty good, buuut.. the 510 is a tad too long and it won't sit flush on any of my mods. Minor annoyance more than anything, but it fires just fine. The flavor of the juice in it right now is better in my 454 with a hotter build.

On the fly update: I just dripped some of my atomic fireball and WOW! There is a difference certainly noticed. I get more of the cinnamon coming through. Not in a harsh way, but it's not so subtle now. It has made the flavor pop! Interesting indeed. So I can say I'll probably play around with wicking and juice sampling for a couple days to get a good idea of what she can produce by way of flavor.

The 510 being too long is an issue for the Infinite clone, not the authentic Magma. Although an adjustable pin would have been nice, most are using them on a mech with adjustable 510, so its really not a big deal.

As the person above said, the Magma is really better with builds closer to 1 ohm. Its not meant for super low builds or clouds. Its purely for flavor. And getting more wraps increases the surface area on the wick, which leads to better flavor IMO.

Best build I have tried to date is a single parallel coil at .6ohm while using BOTH air holes wide open.

I built one down to .3 and thats where I felt I didnt have enough air.

I tried a couple higher resistance builds that were closer to 1ohm, while they were fine regulated at higher wattage (via DNA clone) they were as dead as Disco on a mech.

So I reverted back to my .6, which works great on my mechs and regulated

Seems you have been listening to the wrong Hype.

Magma Can blow Decent Clouds(NOT Competition) but it's Spotlight is FLAVOR.
I am running mine @ 1.4ohm single coil and love the flavor.
.5 duals or .8+ singles might be better for you.

If you want Clouds - TOBH Dual .8ohm coils and Sony VTC5 on a Copper Mod :D

I love it. It's not my favorite, but it's in my top 3! My favorite so far is my 454. Little cloud machine, flavor machine; very versatile. The flavor is good, but not knock your socks off. Certainly more flavor than I get from my TOBH, but not like the magma.
Tomorrow, I'm gonna build the magma up above the .6 range and see how that does for me. It's giving great flavor right now at .25, but I hear it will do better. Test it I shall!

I currently have my Magma on a single 1.4 ohm 28g micro coil. I vape it on my DNA30 around 18 watts and I use cotton. The only issue I've had so far was the splatter from the coil. The bottom fed coil forces the splatter up through the drip tip and and burns my tongue if I'm chain vaping. Anyone else with this issue?

I had one of the first Magma clones from Mild and I wasn't a huge fan of it. Now that I have a regulated CNA 30 box, I just ordered a black one from Infinite since I hate refilling my Plumeveil every 5 hits. Why parallel single over dual coils?

Dual Coil Punch in a Single Coil configuration. Plenty of Heat and still good Flavor.
................................................................................................................

Realized something - People keep going thicker Wire and then Lower Ohms.............Doh, No Joke. It takes the added Load just to heat the wire.

Considering testing a Triple 32, Tri-coil wrap:blink:, just to get an Idea as to Heat and Coverage. Maybe 3x8wrap @ 2mm?
That would be 24 coils worth of coverage.

Just got the Magma a few days ago & it is the FIRST out of several that I actually use all the rest of my RDA's have been collecting dust for months/years...I just love the magma's easy build and the flavor & vapor is phenominal!! & the fact that it almost holds a ml of juice is a huge plus:D
