When running a single coil is it best just to fill up the entire well with cotton or just have the 2 tails stick down in the juice. So far I have had major leaking problems and not overfilling it at all.

That claim that it can hold 40 drops must have been tested with a teeny tiny dropper cause I can't get more then 20 without it leaking. And yes I make sure Im not hitting the airholes.

Kinda sucks cause I bought it specifically so I wouldn't have to drip all the time but so far Im liking my old IGO L dripper better. Am I doing something wrong?

I only use single coil in my magma. Dual is difficult to build on then once you do you can't get any juice in because the cotton blocks it. So yeah single coil and only enough cotton to reach near the bottom.

I go by the mantra, less is more, when concerning cotton.

Just remember this, no matter what you do it will always leak, always. It's just something us magma users get used to.

EDIT: there is a modification one user on here did where he grinded out his magma and added an o-ring to stop the leaking however it looks like it could easily go awry so I just make concessions about the leakage. Carry napkins.

One thing I've learned by trial and error is this will hold about 40 drops, but you have to "thin" the cotton in the well a lot. It still worked great, but was prone to leaking. I'm now using the Magma and Zenith with a bottom feeder, I LOVE the ease of use from this way of vaping, but haven't found an affordable BF MOD over 15watts.

On my Magma with a 1x coil set-up, I am able to fill the juice well with plenty of juice. I use an Innokin Ucan. I am able to apply about some 4 full pumps, which has to be at least 30 drops and more of a 50/50 juice.

I use KGD cotton and the wick tails just touch the bottom of the juice well.

Another user modified his by press fitting blunt tip needles down the air holes leaving them sticking out about 1-2mm. I forget the diameter at the moment.

Yeah, watching the video all I could think was that raising the airholes up would be a lot easier than grinding the outside down!

PS, here's a tip. If you ever lose one of the post screws and have a cutting tool, the threaded tip of a Kayfun 3.1 center post fits perfectly. I lost mine and had a junked K31 in my parts drawer and it solved my problem (almost) instantly. Had to cut the unthreaded section and then carve a slot for the screwdriver but all of it it took under five minutes. Later tho, I found the original. :)

Ive had my magma a few weeks, and only use a single coil. I do like the flavor I get with it, and I like that you can adjust the airflow, but I spend more time taking it apart and wiping juice off places that it shouldn't be than I do enjoying it. I think mine is the infinite clone and I never fill the well more than half way, but it doesnt take much of a tilt to make a mess with this thing. Even the time that I remember not to tilt it at all, it doesn't take long before there is enough condensation in the top cap to start causing problems. I still use it sometimes when I'm testing a batch of new juice I just made but its not my favorite rda like I expected it to be. I use cotton for wick and the tails almost reach the bottom.

I've learned that by plugging the unused airhole by sticking the tip of a toothpick in the hole on the deck, I reduce leakage significantly. I just change the toothpick tip when I change wicks.

Hey, that's an idea. I just rolled up a little piece of a napkin and stuffed it into the unused airhole. I'll see how that works.

I love the flavour from this thing (even good vapour too) but the leaking has been messing with my enjoyment of it.

Yeah.. always make sure airholes are pointing to the sides, and it'll still happen.

I used a magma everyday from late Feb-june..I didn't get any leaking once I leaned my vaping rates.. and to take the top cap off to refill well..I never figured out dripping through drip tip..it always finds its way out of the dripper.
