I started Rebuilding 2 months ago and my mod is a Smoktech Magneto. I'm happy how this mod vapes and operates I have one problem. The problem is that when I have the locking ring all the way clock wise to free the button, and I vape for awhile and I want to turn it counter clock wise to lock it and set it down the ring locks up. Ive been through 2 mods already and my second did it again, I've been able to free it before by using a jar opener, but this time it locked up solid. I was vaping with a nimbus ,the build was at .70 Ohms. Does anyone have a solution to this problem and how to prevent it from happening again.

I would toss it on the freezer and the cold will help you free the locking ring again. I like my magneto and do have the same problem once in a while, but now when I lock it I barley touch it at on and off. Be careful it's a good mech for the money.

Umm, first off, don't tighten down the rba so damn tight. I always just get it slightly snug, adjust center pin, then tighten down the switch with batt in. Also, if you tighten when hot, once cool, she'll be really tight.

Happens, I'll use a cloth or rubber, in the jaws of a vice grip, when necessary, but find it best just not to go to tight.

A couple of strap wrenches will do the trick but I have also had success with those rubber roundtuit can opener circle things. I have had to learn to be careful to keep my locking ring in the 'middle' when twisting things on or off the tube. It helps.
