I have a question about how this community calculates the battery life of a device. From my understanding, the basic rule is 100mah = (about) 1 hour.

So the 900mah on a bat be approximately 9 hours (give or take).

When you say 9 hours, do you mean:
If I disconnect the charger, I have 9 hours to vape it, no matter how often I vape?
-or-
I will get 9 hours of continuous vaping from it.

I ask because I won't be vaping at work, just on breaks and on the way there and back. So I'm looking at vaping for my 10min commute. 2 hours later vape for 15min, 2 hours later vape for 15-30min, 2 hours later vape for 15min, 2 hours later vape for the 10min commute back home.

My day is about 9 hours long, while only vaping for about 65min - 80min

Would the 900mah bat be just about dead by the end of the day, or would it still have plenty of life left to it?

It sounds like you should be OK with a fairly new battery
The only way to tell for sure is to try it
There are too many variables to figure out how long a battery will last from just the mAh rating
Things such as quality, age and internal resistance of the battery, load resistance...
Maybe a better question is:
If it gets me through the day when fairly new...
How many charging cycles before it no longer gets me through the day

Hi Matt, Thats the Accepted average. Now I did vape for more than a year an ego clone that was 900mAh, I would get from the time I began using that battery, until it need to be charged, about 7 hours. My beginner 180 mAh automatic, I would get about 3 hours. My manual 180 mAh 510 would get me about one hour. Keep in mind that everyone is different, we dont all take a fifteen every two hours. I agree that the rule of thumb should be to expect about one hour of real world vape time from your 100mAh so to get you through a nine hour work day you should expect to carry about 900 mAh of batteries wether its in a few slim batts or a single unit. Keep in mind that there wil likely be days where you are more prone to vape more and some you will vape less but there is nothing worse than getting in your car to take that long ride home and having your battery just drop dead....... well almost nothing worse..... Good Luck. Happy vaping.
