I would like everyone to please take note of my order from MajicVapor.com, received this afternoon. This includes rojogrande.
On 2011.10.29, I placed an order for the Joye eGo Kit, as advertised by MajicVapor as a buy One Get One free promotion for Halloween, over in the PIF Deals and Steals thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/85781-deals-steals-589.html#post4433567 . I directly compared the Joye eGo kit offered for sale by MajicVapor, with the identical kit offered for sale by another vendor on these forums. I had both web page listings open side-by-side on dual monitors, and verified that the kit contents were identical, in terms of item count. (2 - Titanium 510 Atomizers, 2 - Titanium 3.7V, 650 mAh Rechargeable batteries, 2 - Titanium Atomizer Covers, 1 - USB Wall Adapter, 1 - USB eGo Battery Charger, 1 - Instruction Manual, 5 - White Flat-tipped Cartridges.)
My wife and I discussed the promotional offer and decided that, because each kit essentially comes with two complete Joye eGo PVs, we would be able to give these kits as Christmas presents to two couples we know--one couple being family members, and the other being coworkers of my wife. I completed the purchase--in accordance with the promotional conditions posted by rojogrande. In getting two Joye eGo kits for the retail price of one, I was predisposed to think well of MajicVapor as an online retailer.
I received an order confirmation email shortly thereafter:
I noted that this was order "111"; which I hoped was only in reference to the current month; otherwise, there might be some genuine concerns about an inexperienced online retailer; however, I decided not to cancel the order, giving MajicVapor the benefit of the doubt.
We all know that, eventually, people started receiving emails about having run out of stock on the promotional items; and folks started getting upset about things a bit. I decided to wait and see what would happen; again, conferring the benefit of the doubt on somebody who appeared to be having temporary supply problems.
On the 14th of this month, I finally received two emails, about 5 hours apart; the first one claiming that their vendor did not ship the Titanium kits to them, and offering to ship ablack kits, instead, or give me a refund on the purchase. The second email stated that my order of two Joye eGo kits had shipped-out. I did not see the first email until after the second email arrived--a fact that I now regret.
This morning, both kits arrived in the mail. I opened the mailing envelope up, and looked inside each kit box to check the contents. This is what I saw:
The first problem I noticed was the black unit, instead of the Titanium that I had ordered. I went back to my email cache and discovered that there was an email that mentioned the black/titanium thing....OKAY. I'll work with it.
The second problem that I noticed were those two open niches in the middle of the packaging. The second atomizer cone and battery had been removed from both kit packages before they were shipped-out.
I only received (in each kit):
2 - Black 510 Atomizers
1 - Black 3.7V, 650 mAh Rechargeable Battery
1 - Blacxk Atomizer Cover
1 - USB Wall Adapter
1 - USB eGo Battery Charger
1 - Instruction Manual
5 - Black Flat-tipped Cartridges
OK...it's black, and I'm really not jazzed about giving gifts that are going to show scratches more conspicuously than the scratches would be noticed on a titanium model, but I understand supply-side issues and can cut the guy a break on that count....but yoinking the second battery and atomizer cone out of the kit? That's just cheating the customer. I'm not down with that at all....but wait....maybe *I* made a mistake?
Ever-giving others the benefit of the doubt, I went back to the MajicVapor website to make certain that I had not read the kit contents listing improperly. Now, mind you, I already know I didn't misread the MajicVapor description, because I compared the MajicVapor Joye eGo kit contents listing directly with a Joye eGo kit contents listing from another, very reputable, vendor who is listed with ECF. The kit contents, at the time I placed the order, were identical, except for the reputable vendor's mention of extras he includes with the eGo kit he sells.....but I looked, anyway. Y'know....well....I really don't know why, so how can you know why? Maybe "just because".
Well, when I brought-up the MajicVapor Joye eGo kit contents listing, I noticed something a little odd. See if you can spot it:
Look at the red underlinings in the image, and compare that against the quantities shown to the left of those items.
The quantities had been changed, but the pluralities of the items had not. What had been formerly listed as "2 Titanium Atomizer Covers" is now "1 Titanium Atomizer Covers"; and "2 Titanium 3.7V, 650 mAh Rechargeable Batteries" is now listed as "1 Titanium 3.7V, 650 mAh Rechargeable Batteries". Gee! I guess you can't think of everything when you're in a hurry, can you?
To rojogrande:
This is not how a reputable business is run, dude.
Those kits, when you received them, had two batteries and two atomizer cones in them. You promoted the units and had a listing that agreed with the kit contents as received by you. I don't know.....maybe you got in a panic because you got slammed with orders you didn't plan for. Maybe you saw your margin shrinking because you simply didn't anticipate the response you got and didn't price the units higher...I really don't care what your motivation was, and that's your problem--not mine. Skimming-off batteries and atomizer cones from those kits was the wrong thing to do, and so was going back to your contents listing and changing the quantities to cover it up. (I'm also willing to guess that half your customers, on this promotion, received un-boxed kits.)
Don't make excuses, because I don't have time for kid-stuff. Suck it up, make like a man, and fix this problem. Now.
You need to send me two, factory-new, Black Joye eGo 650mAh Batteries, and two, factory new, Black Joye eGo Atomizer Cones--only to match the kit color that I didn't order in the first place. Heck, I'll even settle for the color I ordered (settle for what I ordered...isn't THAT sad?), because I can switch things around in the kit boxes and make it look just grand anyway--but I shouldn't have to.
You can also refund our money, and send-out a UPS call tag to have your stuff picked-up.
If you DO NOT FIX THIS, I will dispute the credit card charges and officially request that the forum administration revoke your "Registered Supplier" status.
The ball is in your court.
