I'm having some issue making new holes in metal. Particularly, in top caps. I need some advice from ya fellas. I tried adding some new holes to my copper tobh. I attempted to use a center punch, but I didn't realize that the center punch I bought produced nipple-like engravings instead of little dimples. Well anyway, I tried it anyway and it sort of worked...sometimes. The problem is, while hammering the center punch to the top cap I warped the whole thing. It's an ellipse now instead of a circle. I pressed it back to in my vice and it fits now but it's hideous and doesn't work very well.

Also, all my holes are terrible and all over the place ahaha. I couldn't align them very well at all, and once I started drilling it got so much harder...

SO, how do you guys and gals do this? What's a good way of making markings on the top cap so that all the holes are nice and lined up and symetrical and beautiful, whether it's for an rda or a box mod or what have you? I tried tying a string around it, but that didn't really work.

Also, how would I use a center punch without warping the body of the rda? Is this just because it's made of copper? I'm going to re-attempt on my stainless clone of the tobh as well...

And lastly, how do you prevent the drill you're using from just flying right down after you finally break through? Every time I made a hole I would hit the top cap with my drill and cause these awful circles everywhere from the chuck.

**I'm using a hand drill with cobalt tips, the holes themselves are fine, it's the alignment of the holes and such I have issue with**
