There was one good thing about registering for this forum! That was the anti spam verification was readable (many are not). I spent the time registering because I wanted to express both the entertainment and the sympathy I experienced on reading the 'Don't Panic' thread. Unfortunately your rules have not allowed me to do so. Hence I am unlikely to come back!

ECF has one of the easiest "New Member Jails" I've dealt with in large forums. Most of the other large technical forums I have frequented have a 20 post lockdown and don't have an easy way to get those 20 posts.

I think the new member jail is a good idea. This is a HUGE site and it keeps it friendly. I had no trouble getting out of jail!
After the 3 page spam fest earlier this morning I am glad for the new member jail. 5 posts aren't that hard to make. This is the easiest new member jail I have ever seen. I've been on forums where new members were locked down to a select area for a month regardless of post count. I've seen some where new members could not post until forum admin approved their membership.
I have to say that this is one of the best forums I have been a member of. I have not seen any of the childish bickering that you see so often on other boards. Everyone seems more than willing to share their experience with us newcomers and all in all it has been a great learning tool for me and I can only assume many others on here.
i wanna say that im ssssssssso glad i found this forum !!! im a new vapor dude and i had tons of concerns and lotsa questions about vaping. i have found all my answers right here, and also thanks to this forum i just bought my 4th e-cig kit that actually works for me and my wimpy TH tastes...lol. i am now just starting to really enjoy vaping and my analog use has gone way down for sure. i'm looking forward to being a long time member and i come here everyday and can just read for hours !!!
Agreed!Gosh, he could have said "welcome" to four other new members and been done with it. Pity. He was such a nice person too.

This right here. I'm usually a quiet person. Meet me in the real world and you might get 5 words out of me an hour. When I spend time on forums usually I wouldn't post much if at all. Having to get those 5 initial posts for someone like me was extremely hard. But I did it and now I'm posting all over the place.

This place is great.. normally someone would have written a post like this.. and all kinds of hell would have been brought down.. from insulting his / her body type to hating their avatar.. No.. we dont do that.. we simply say.. sorry.. we would have loved to have you here, and have a nice day.. this is why i like it here.. you say something.. you dont get a barage of insults.. unless you speak of vivi novas.. or kangers.. lmao.. (i own both.. )
