Making the Smoktech Vivi Tank into a Genesis Tank Tutorial

Well, I still have no issues with my Vivi 'genesis'. I leave it lay on the counter when working to clean and refill all.. Leave it on the sofa full, the table, the - well.. <shrug> Mind you, the wick well-fills its own hole and I didn't drill more leaks. Even laying it full on the side I pierced with a hot pin doesn't leak.

Mebbe I'll try. Start with small holes and see if it still wicks. Do you use thick juice? I'd imagine that would leak less than straight PG

I've used straight PG, and only recently started adding VG - I'm trying 20% VG in this new batch. It does cloud better with VG, but in no case has it mattered to the Vivi - I just used a convenient drill size for the wick-hole reaming, and I generally slop more around by the coil while loading than I've ever seen leak.

OK, I guess I have to admit to error - I know I filled the Vivi today.. It sat in my pocket all day, and I don't see a stain and never felt a leak, but the dang thing was empty tonight.

Maybe the vape-fairies siphoned off my ejuice.. Like gas in the 70's!

So I was able to follow this and make up my own. The only things i've noticed is that at three wraps, I didn't get the resistance needed. Mine has 7 wraps of 32awg kanthal, and that puts me right at 2.3ohms. What kind of ohm readings are you getting with three wraps, and how is the flavor? I'm not getting near that amount of vapor because it takes a while to heat up.

I was going to ask the same question. I made a regular style and a genesis style, wrapped according to what science and math should be. Couldn't get it to heat right unless I cranked the volts way up.
Gave up because I'm very out and about and don't need/want vale caries to siphon my juice. Hopefully my RBA's. Show up soon......

so i did a NEW mod on mine. I took out the + post top and bottom and replaced it with a small nail(like a Genesis Line). put a air hole in the side of the tank. Drilled out the wick holes. I dont have any SS mesh but If i can find some it will be sweet. It vapes like crazy tho.

Great video. Only suggestion I would say is a camera suggestion. Do not put the light right above your project. It was hard to see with the light reflecting off of the metal, one of the reasons a web cam will have problems focusing.

I did this mod today and its ok.
I think I used too large a drill bit for the poly so I get too much airflow.
I am also not using a ss mesh wick which will change tomorrow when I go get some.
I think once I get a new wick and coil made up it will be better.
going to get another so I can make a smaller hole in the poly
