I am so tired of polishing my brass and copper mods. I was wondering if anyone has any good ideas of materials to use for wrapping mech mods.

Last weekend I went to an art supply store and found some foil coated paper that has a hexagon texture. That's what I'm using now. It doesn't look bad but still it's 90% paper. As soon as it gets wet it will be ruined. I'm looking for something that is better and will last a bit longer. And please don't say Art duct tape. I tried that and just....no.

My next plan is to buy some carbon fiber wraps that's sold in Automotive stores. I've seen a few mods wrapped in that material and they didn't look bad. But I'm just wondering if there's something even better that I can use for wrapping mods.

You can order some free samples from 3M in different designs and colors etc.

I wrapped my MVP2 with one of their materials:

Should be reasonably easy with a basic mech mod unless it's a mod that is fancy but if it's smooth it should be really easy.

You can find more info on ordering the 3M sample material in the MVP owners club forum topic here on ECF.

Thanks for the ideas. I will try a few that were mentioned. Today I went to Autozone and bought a roll of carbon fiber adhesive. I am really impressed with how it turned out on my Stingray mod.

The hardest part was cutting the width perfectly so that the ends would not overlap each other. Now I'm going to do the same thing to my Nemesis mod. :D
