I'm a wrap or skin, or skinz addict ... they are all the same from most every company with the exception of those double thick double cost manufacturers .

If you order as many as I do you know by now there is a strange problem .... wipe your box down ,inspect it carefully, feel great that it is perfect and ready, and even use the 'drape on from the bottom' toward the ceiling so the wrap is always leaning outward toward you ... yet you might still find tiny little 'sand dots' .... in some cases none on 2 sides ... but all over the other sides ... really mysterious and disconcerting as well as expensive loss of wraps. My son thinks it is actually some tiny speck of the backing glue itself balling up under the pressure of fingers when applying.

I finally solved the problem !!! When your wrap(s) arrive leave them on the paper and buy a can of clear coat acrylic lacquer .... This performs miracles ! To a lesser degree it firstly makes a wrap look 'more professional' by removing the playtoy looking shine or gloss that so many of these wraps lean to .... it suddenly just looks more 'adult' and less like a decal for a child's ride on toy (lol) .

Spray the wrap from about 15 inches away ... you want it to hit the vinyl on the peel off backing sandy and dry , the distance lets the carrier evap before the lacquer reaches the surface. 10 minutes later do it again a bit heavier .

5 minutes later peel off the first vinyl panel section from it's paper but use a razor blade or exacto ... do not use your fingers because the acrylic will start to peel off the vinyl in one solid sheet, just like the coverings over box mod action windows.

The wrap pieces are now much heavier and stiffer now ... If you have other unused wraps heft a sprayed wrap in one hand and an unsprayed wrap in the other ... if you've sprayed enough there will be a noticable difference in the weight of both wraps on the factory paper. A heavily lacquered skin will never leave one of those sand/grit marks or bubble of grit.

I've done it a dozen times since my first acrylic spray test.

If you liked the shininess of the original wrap just use a razor blade to lift the acrylic from a corner of the finished mod ... not the installed vinyl, I mean just lift the acrylic ... it will lift in an exact copy of the original sheets.

For a fun hobby you can continue to spray these panels in layers (off of the mod I mean) and end up with another skin for free ! Just spray a nice matte color over the acrylic new skin, lightly spray the skin with hairspray and apply. Vape on and vinyl on ! (try having this much fun with an analig lol!)
