Man do I ever want a pipe (but can't?!)

So I'm fiendishly looking over the internetz (primarily here) and it seems to me that there simply isn't a very good pipe option for the vaping community? say it isn't so!

Either they get horrific reviews (I think they all do actually) or they cost a fortune to maintain (replacing the entire wooden body as the atom) it just seems to me that we might not be meant to be....

Anyone have any information to share that could change this depressing outlook? The 601 seems to be the only real option but at 75 bucks for a new atom... erk. How long does that atom last?

I never smoked a pipe but the idea of having a nice looking (like the 601, not so much the proto) has appeal. I'm talking mostly for home use and social gatherings. For lack of better term... It would be cool, and if it operates essentially the same then why not?

I was just thinking that if I was going to get a larger than 510 device anyways for increased enjoyment and battery life, why not wrap it in a bad-... pipe.....

You might want to check out or send an email to Vapor S. Thompson, he is a vendor-NicFit Nation.
I am not sure whether he sells them or not, but I did see him use a cool looking e-pipe in one of his reviews on youtube.
Sorry I know this is very vauge, but he might be able to point you in the right direction, good luck.

Thats a nice unit ... I want one. It uses the eGo attys ... It can even use the eGo tank system.
Quality piece of hardware IMO.

Yea, that with an ego tank would be a pretty sweet set up IMO.

I have the 601. It's pretty nice. Looks much more like a standard tobacco pipe, nice and shiny woodgrain. Have had it a couple months but only use it on the odd occasion.

There was one on the market that was an 801 atty on it. It was getting bad reviews because it was an 801 atty at 3.7 volts.. These days you could get an 801-501 adaptor, solve that problem, and have the battery power to vape all day.

I to am a huge pipe fan, I saved up for a pipe from epipemods.
Since it's arrival I've started making my own.
I designed it around the ego system because I love the simplicity of there tanks and the ego booster, but I can also use any 510 atty on this.

Keep an eye out on the classies. You might get lucky as I did. Scored a custom epipemods pipe for $150 with a lot of swag. It is setup for the ego mega dual coil cartos, but I can tweak it very easily to work with any 510 atty/carto and a drip-shield to stop any leaking that may occur. They look sweet and vape beautifully!!

Avoid going cheap, these two pipes are well worth it. If you're into tanks and ego stuff, I'd go epipe. If your cool with regular xl cartos, the jazz is great and also cheaper.

Hand-Crafted ePipes, custom made personal vaping devices from ePipeMods.com ...more than just an eCig is the current standard for quality pipes... Also another new up and comer is electronic pipes with a very beautiful collection...

The thing is... you are going to pay more for a fine hand crafted wood mod... just like you will pay more for a solid wood desk(thousands) as opposed to Particle board desks(hundreds)

but as for the other question about replacements... they are both connector style pipes... meaning the battery is stuck in the bowl of the pipe... the connector on the bowl is 510/801, depending on what you order, and the "stem is the atomizer and any extenter or drip/pipe tip you put on it...

Other makes are: Jazz Carto Pipe, SunPipes, MikroPipe and the DSE 601

IMO, the DSE 601 looks the worst... and is according to reviews.

You don't have to use cartos with it. I thought the same thing, but you can get a long 510-510 entension and then you can use any 510 atomizer. Doesn't look silly or anything. Looks normal.
