Waffle, the wifey should aid in the funding and construction of the man cave! I firmly believe that one's man needs his own cave. Everyone needs a little spot of something that allows them to keep their individuality, a spot that no one else is allowed to F with.
We have several man caves around here. The room that has a giant wood slot car track that hubby built, and the oldest kid turned the garage into a man cave. I had to step in and protest on the kid's man cave, some of the posters were a bit over the top-since I pay the mortgage I ripped a few down. Some body parts I just don't need to see when I walk in there!
I have my own she-man cave. LOL! It's the old little barn at the farm house. Don't have use of it right now but it is mine, it's basic, a bit rough but it is my happy place.

I'm thinking a small barn would be pretty awesome, with insulation, A/C, and a fridge (aka "beverage cooler").
Sorry things aren't working out for you, Waffle. Just remember, there's no deadline for finishing the Man Cave. Just work on it as time and finances permit.

Waffle, now you'll have to be a smooth operator to pull this off but somehow my dining room ended up having a pool table in it instead and the nightstand next to our bed is a minifridge. Instead of having the man cave, you just bachelor up the house a bit. You can also find out just how much the woman loves ya!

Speaking of ManCaves, i have a refrigerator that is just begging to become a kegorator...
It's a Thursday night project i havn't had time to accomplish yet.
Should be around $200 in parts, $120 in beer, and one day in wait time.
