Manual VX2 Batteries

Ok, so I bought 2 Manual batteries for the VX2 about a week and a half ago... they are both dead now.
Is anyone else having problems with killing these?
One of them I kinda understand, it was my main battery and got roughed up a little. It still works... still charges too, but when attached to an atty it acts like there's a short and the LED "twitches", blinks, whatever term you want to use.

The other one however I got for my sister. She's pretty gentle with things and hers just quit. Out of the blue, no reason, doesn't even have a scuff mark on it, quit. No light, no charging, no nothing. Just dead.

Is there something that we are doing wrong? can you tighten these down too much and stress the leads? I've opened an Auto battery up and just can't understand why these manual batteries are dying off so quick and easy.

u could possibly stress the leads. i could see the beat up on failing but not the other if it was takin care of . i havnthad a manual battery die yet like that to my knowledge. there may have been on or 2 but i just dont remember. but definately not enough for me to remember.

We'll I've got 2 dead manual batteries, one auto, and a dead passthrough (puppy attack)... all of those were ordered 7/17/09... got them 7/20/09 (love the fast shipping!!!) the passthrough died 7/30 or 31. My manual died a day or 2 before, but that thing got dropped constantly. The other manual and the auto died today (8/6). Poor sister's left without any batteries. I'm lucky to have my original set of auto's that have lasted since the end of June I believe.

I just had one die a spontaneous death this week. I am not sure if it was one of my originals which would make it a little over 3 weeks old, or one of the more recent ones which would have made it about a week and a half. Both my autos have died as well, and I'm burning through attys like crazy (at least it seems that way since in 3 months I haven't killed any attys for my m401)

I haven't killed a single atty *knocks on wood*, just seem to hit a bit of nasty luck with those batteries

I'm pretty convinced the atty problem is something I'm doing, I just can't figure out what it is....... maybe getting them to hot by continous use??? But I really love the manual VX2 so I'm sticking with it

I just got home from vacation to find my VX2 manual batteries here waiting for me! Unfortunately, one will not charge at all, but the other is freakin AWESOME!!!! This again puts the VX2 up there with one of my fave PVs ever!
