Hello,

Today I have the ManVap Winner-tag pod for review. ManVap is a rather new company on the market and the Winner-tag is one of their first products. It is a pod that is solely intended for MTL and its main feature is that its small and can be worn on a chain.

Some specs from the ManVap website:

What I got in the box:

· Winner-tag pod system
· USB cable
· Warranty Card
· User manual
· One Pod

First impression is that its indeed tiny. The shape is really nice, and the materials used for the body actually feel really solid. It is quite heavy for such a small pod, but that I suppose is due to the metal body.

The silver-metal plate looks nice, but is very prone to scratches, had some already after some days. The other side seems to be a proper quality sticker, after weeks of use it is still in place and no damage is visible. I do not really like this purple color myself, and looking at the color options I am missing some regular colors, such as full black or blue, pity. The LED-light is very bright and quite large, it is easy to see while vaping.

Even though I am not a chain kind of guy I did take it out for a bike trip around my neck and it was very handy. Just pull out of my shirt and have a couple of puffs.

There is not much to this pod functionality wise, its just charge and vape, no buttons available whatsoever. The draw-activation works well and reacts quickly. Good thing it at least has battery indication, LED shows red when battery runs low.

The magnetic connection with the pod feels quite week, its not loose and it does not fall of or anything, but it does not feel like that strong connection I expect. Did have it around my neck for quite some time and the pod never fell out.

I do like the fill-system a lot, it does not have the classic rubber plugs, but a kind of plastic lever system. Fill ports are however on the small side, you will need a bottle with a small tip to not make a mess of this. The pods for me are way to dark, it is very hard to see how much liquid you have in there. Mouthpiece is OK, for me it is maybe not too comfortable as the design feels more for smaller lips . No leaking issues at all, not even slight condensation. Capacity for 2ML is more than enough for such a tiny coil.

Coils are so tiny, what I do like a lot is the fact they are ceramic coils, I really like ceramic coils for MTL, they last long and have stable flavor output and performance. It is interesting to know this pod only outputs 7W, which is low.

The first couple of puffs are not very pleasant, it does not really give any vaper, after a puff or 5-10 it starts to really work. I started with a 60VG juice and I knew after a while that this pod is not made for 60VG juices, the throat hit experience which I would get on a different pod was just not there. Smart as I am (sometimes) I created myself some 50/50 20mg salt, and that’s the point the pod started to deliver a nice and smooth vape. To me it vapes good when taking slow but long drags, the flavor is not great, its ok for a pod of this size.

Battery almost holds up for a full day, which was to be expected for its battery-size (350mAh), which is still kind of a disappointment. Charging time also is long, around 70 minutes. Of course it all depends on how much a person vapes, some people might get one full day out of it.

Conclusion:

A nice little pod for when out of home for some time, the chain makes it portable and it does not annoy or anything. Materials used are proper and feel solid. Pity the silver metal plate scratches easily. Battery does not last me a full day if I use it as my only device which is a pity. Vaping wise it is working well, it delivers nicotine well, downside is that it in my opinion only really works well with 50%+ PG juices.

I would not buy this as my only vaping device, but as an addition in case of traveling or just out of home.

Price for the kit is 22$ and 4 replacement pods cost 12$.

Pro’s:

- Solid body
- Tiny and portable
- Clear LED light
- Fill port is convenient
- Delivers nicotine well, nice throat hit with 50+ PG
- Ceramic coil, stable performance
- Chain is a nice add-on
- Draw-activation works well

Con’s:

- Metal plate scratches easily
- Does not vape well with 60+ VG juices
- Battery capacity – does not make it through a whole day.
- Charging takes almost 70 minutes, which is too long for 350 mAh
- Tiny fill pots
- Magnetic connection feels a bit too loose
- Pods are too dark
- No regular colors available
