Got the email that the Chalice will be back in stock tomorrow.

But ..........

Theres a note about it being larger and maybe not fitting into "your mod" ????

... .... I haven't been following this development. Anyone know how much bigger and don't you think they could just give the outside dimension for the new atty ??

Kind of ticked off, I was all set to buy two of them but they are worthless to me if it doesn't fit my REOs :(

They will throw in a free "adaptor" but thats not how I'm going run a $150 dollar atomizer ..... Bummer.

EDIT: I don't even think the adaptor is free unless you pre-ordered ???
Other wise its a 20 or 30 dollar adaptor ....

Oh and the atty went up to 160 USD plus paypal fees.

Seems to me when something is priced as the Challice is that someone could use a digital caliper and give some accurate dimensions for outside diameter. That would take all of 5 minutes to measure and post the results. I share your sentiments.

Exactly ..... then I do the same on my end and nobody is guessing.
I have a feeling they are keeping to themselves because they know it won't fit in anything.

Just the fact that its bigger means it wont fit in my VV woodvil because my old Chalice is a tight fit.

I'm really bummed that they screwed up a great device!

Chalice I

here you have the dimensions and it is not working without adapter only on Reo mini&18490

Thanks for the clarification, Mark. I have both the old Reo Grand and the VV Reo Grand. I just purchased a Chalice I (order# 197) when it went on sale and am glad it will fit with or without the adapter on these mods. Though I do prefer to use an adapter because it allows me to see the liquid filling into the well.

That's outrageous... the nerve of them to charge 'odd cents'. Caveat emptor.

Jack

ETA... Daveslog sold his for $11... insured shipping included.

Jackipoo, shame on you!

I know who got it and it was a trade! And he even threw in a rubber ducky for the bath tub!

I ordered one too. Too bad Im currently deployed and its being shipped to my house in the USA first. I probably wont see it for at LEAST a month.

I like how the new one has titanium posts, should last forever!

What I like...and the reason I'm even going to part with a vv grand to pay for it, is because they're so EASY to build a coil for. And i can take off the top cap to check out the innards without messing up the coils.

':)Sides..they sure are purty

Kay I just experienced the "can't get the cap off" with my SS Hornet last night. Mind you I have four ERAs and have never experienced trouble. I fixed it to an old eGo battery and tugged with all my might, using various rubber gloves and grippy objects to hold onto the cap, and couldn't get it off. Then put it in ice water hoping to shrink the rubber o-rings a bit. No way it would come off by hand. Then soaked in ice water and wrapped cap with electric tape and used pliers. Took a great deal of effort!!!!! And I did get one tiny scratch on SS cap.

I can, now, see the advantage of screw on caps vs pressure fit but that won't keep me from loving the Hornet and ERA. Especially the Hornet as it fits the smaller REOs.

I'll add that this Hornet did sit dirty and gunky for a week. I probably would have had less trouble getting cap off if I had soaked the whole thing in PGA. I'll do the PGA soak next to see if that helps.

Too bad the Chalice is too large for our smaller REOs. I'd like to try one but for now I'll wait in anticipation for the Surface that will fit our small REOs.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

I'm having the same problem getting my new Hornet cap off...the one I had before this was tight but not this bad.
I think putting some e-juice on the rubber o-rings is what I need to do even before putting the cap on.
On a separate note, after my episode with the hornet, I pulled and pulled on the Reomizer cap and then finally remembered that it screws off.
