Some Towns\Citys are Banning E-cig sales and single analogs that cost $2.50 or less. They have 90 days to sell it all off. They want us to go back and smoke the real thing.Looks like the ecig is cutting into tax\alcohol revenue.
That leads me to wonder if cities/towns have the authority to pass such laws. I would think that's something that only the state or federal government can do.
I have a sister in Mass"Hole"chusetts and the brick and mortar sales are snafu, but internet or a trip across the boarder are OK, they are not criminalised [yet] but are banned from stores. Possessing them is still legal. At least that is what she claims, has got caught with them while pulled over for moving violations and nothing was said about them after a quick sniff by the cop to make sure there isn't anything in them that shouldn't be. This is why I think Mary-J flavored juices are a gross irresponsibility to the vape community right now. Just my opinion thats all.
In Western Mass, new shops are popping up in 4 new towns near me...the board of health has NO jurisdiction over Ecigs, only tobacco products...and that state has NOT declared Ecigs a tobacco product yet but wants to with a bill currently being discussed at the state legislature which has not passed and is facing much opposition...and after speaking to state reps freinds of mine here yesterday, Ecigs shops cannot be governed by any city or board of health currently
If anyone knows or hears about any proposed regulation to ban e-cig sales or use by local Boards of Health in MA, please provide some details (e.g. the name of the town, the BOH, a news article, copy of the proposal, etc.) where it is proposed) so we can further expose and oppose the measure(s).
I am from mass and live right near eastern vapors tbe best damn vape shop aeound here and as far as I know there is no ban whatsoever . I buy at the shop online and they have cig a likes in every gasstation around. Not hard to get an e cig here just walk a block to your nearest 7 eleven .
