Anybody have, want, or tried one?

I got to use one a few weeks ago and it was wonderful! So much so, I just gotta get me one. But all my research is coming up well short of usable information. So figured I'd take a shot here and see if it even gets off the ground.

Will share more detail if this thread generates any responses or interest.

Anybody?

Well, no responses and very little interest....about what I expected after searching for any other discussions on the web. What little I could find was 2 or more years old. So, just in case somebody else finds themselves in a similar situation and searches for information and answers, they may stumble across this post. Here is what got me to this point:

A few weeks ago, we visited some relatives at their house. They said we just had to try their massage chair, a 2 year old Cozzia EC-618. Having never tried one before, I jumped at the chance. Let's just say it, and the results were amazing! When they said it cost about $2k, I thought not only was it worth that, but we could do that. So, upon our return home, I hit the web looking for that chair and a store I could go try some chairs to make sure that was the one I wanted. Then the troubles began.........

To start with, I found that exact chair to buy online. Problem was the price. I was suddenly looking at $5k! So I start searching for any chairs in the $2k - $2.5k range and B&M's anywhere near. Everything I read said to try a chair before you buy. Sounds reasonable, but finding a store? I could only find 2 stores in the state selling massage chairs. One only had 3 in stock all of which looked nothing close to the one I tried, but were at least at or below the $2.5k price point. The other only had 4 available, but hitting around $5k and up! So now what? Settle for something obviously lesser quality at my price point or double my budget?

So I hit the online vendors checking all their brands trying to compare all the features to the original Cozzia. This is probably a good time and place to mention the plethora of features each chair has/offers. Then imagine comparing those AND the intensity of each and every one......without being able to try them out? Not to mention guessing the integrity of each vendor! Now I am wondering if buying any massage chair at any price is even possible without "taking a flyer?" Maybe it is just not in the cards and time to throw in the towel! And so I did................for a couple days, anyway.

Maybe if I dig deeper on the web? Surely there are others that have traveled this road. There must be some discussion at some point somewhere....maybe even a massage chair forum? and, by golly, I actually found 3! Now for some great feedback! Unfortunately, only 1 had any posts after 2014....and then there were only 2 posts this year and one of those was by some other poor soul also searching for answers.......and he got none! I did find a handful of inquiries found on unrelated forums, but of little use or help.

So that brought me here, to this op, on this forum, for one last longshot attempt before giving up or taking a flyer. But with the lingering, but fading memory of how great that one 30 minute turn in a massage chair made me feel and the realization it wasn't going to come cheap, I made one last move. I called the one store with the more expensive chairs and found out they had a brand new model of Cozzia that just hit the stores. Maybe I should say store, cause searching to compare pricing found only one other option available. So I jumped on it! Next Saturday, I will make the 100 mile trip to pick up my new Cozzia Qi SE:

Yes, my original budget took quite a hit, but the returns should be worth it!

Sorry for the long post that, understandably, few will bother to read. But if it helps one other person in search of a massage chair, it was worth my time. It is gonna be great, after this experience, to sit in my chair and remove the stress and tension created by my search!

Haha! As a massage therapist I thought something completely different when I read "massage chair." Not nearly as comfortable for lounging around in [emoji12]

My knees hurt just looking at that! It sucks getting old, er, older!
Definitely not my favorite type of massage, to give or receive. Your chair looks fantastic though and I hope you enjoy it fully :)

Before this thread goes into cyber hibernation.......................

I made the 200 mile round trip yesterday to bring my Cozzia Qi SE to its new home. right here in my man cave (but promise the wife will get her turns in it ;)). Tried out a handful of the pre-programmed massages, but still got a ways to go to try everything this chair can/will do. But man oh man, I already feel younger! It's like having a masseuse and a chiropractor living with you, ready to perform at a moment's notice! No, a good chair does not come cheap. But what price can you put on feeling great?

Thanks, all! And now, if you'll excuse me, it's time for my spine adjustment followed by a Thai massage! :w00t:

Mr/Ms OlderAndDirt,
I just found your text while searching for the best massage chair for the money on the Internet. I currently feel that I am in the shoes you were few months back so I would ask for your honest opinion on the Cozzia Qi SE. How's your experience with it. Would you pick another option now if you had the chance?
I am in a huge doubt if I should go with the Cozzia model or rather get the Schults ZycraPulse massage chair for home use. What would you suggest?

Thanks in advance!

Hello @msEmma !

Sorry I didn't respond earlier, but spent the day doing yardwork before the cold and wind hits Nebraska tomorrow. I'm just glad I have a massage chair to take away some of the stiffness for these old bones. :D
Just some quick info so you will have some idea of who this information is coming from. I am a retired accountant, male but not necessarily "Mr." Hopefully just a happy old guy doing his best to enjoy life. My first hand knowledge of massage chairs is extremely limited since I have only sat in and tried two chairs, both Cozzia. So, for what it is worth.....

To start there is little I can offer to compare the Qi SE to the Schults since I know absolutely nothing about the Schults. In my quick and brief search for the Schults, while there were some glowing reviews listing the features, I found little to nothing about the construction. Such as does it have an "L" or "S" track, how many air bags, is it a "wall hugger", how many rollers and do they go in and out as well as up and down (and are they heated), to name a few. Further research may find those answers, but I didn't find it. But even with or without that information, by no means does it mean that chair would give less of a massage.

The Cozzia Qi SE (cz-710): So far we (my wife and I) are extremely happy and satisfied with the chair as well as the positive experience with Cozzia support. But we are still learning new things about the chair. I could talk about how it makes us feel better, more relaxed, and on and on with those kinds of things, but for all I know, many others may provide those benefits and results. I will mention some features we really like and would not go for any chair without them:

Wall hugger. This would seem like a trivial feature, but given the total footprint such a large piece of furniture requires, I would think most would welcome it.

The "L" track rollers: This is probably the most important feature both my wife and I agree we would not give up! Having 4 massage rollers that continue under your seat to the back/top of your legs is to die for!

Spine Adjust and Stretch programs: Having spent a lot of time at the chiropractor and kinesiologist(sp), while not to that level, I find these features very beneficial.

Spot massage: It's nice to be able to pinpoint a specific type of massage in a certain spot to relax a tight muscle or two. Even better since that spot can be adjusted during massage and/or other treatments can be included. Pretty much pick what you want, when you want, where you want it, and for however long you want.

Custom Massages: You can customize and save up to 3 massage programs. I've played with this a bit, but with all the pre-programed massages, haven't felt a need to set one up yet.

Touch screen tablet controls: A very easy menu system easier for me to navigate, easy to see and operate in its mount and long enough cord to hold. But don't do that since my arms are in the arm massage slots. Probably my only con on the chair is that the tablet is hard wired instead of Bluetooth, a small con at that.

That covers moist everything I can think of right now. I imagine most or all of those features could be found in other chairs, but from all my research, I thought the Qi SE had everything I wanted/needed at the best price. If you haven't yet, check out the Cozzia USA website for more details and while there, check out the Qi (cz-730) chair if you want even more of a chair. From their site, you can view a more detailed manual for even more information.

Bottom line, we are really happy with the chair. Would we pick another option? That would only happen if we tried another chair and that is not likely to happen. Good luck! I would be interested in what you end up getting. No matter what you get, I'm sure you will enjoy the benefits!

Oh! Forgot to mention and it has nothing to do with which chair you get! As soon as we got the chair home and ready to go, I couldn't wait to try everything out. So I started with the Demo, then started trying all the pre-programmed massages. I probably got 6 or 8 massages in the first 24 hours or so. I ended up with a bit of a soar back and thought "Oh, :censored:!" I spent all this money and it may not work for me! I did some research and found some warnings not to over do it. Backed it off to only doing it 3 or 4 times a week and all is well. It's hard not to go hog wild at first, but take it easy.....it will always be there for you!

Good luck again. Hope you find what you want!

Disclaimer: I do not now nor have I ever worked for or have/had financial interest in Cozzia.........even though it may sound like it!

Oh man... massage chairs. I love them. They have them at the Tucson airport, so Fantastic for picking up whatever errant family member is arriving (my family is all about as easygoing as I am). For $5 for 5 minutes, they must be making money. I'd love to buy one but that's not in my budget, but OlderNDirt I am so glad you found one and are enjoying yours! They're fantastic!
