One of my 629s has started gurgling quite seriously every time I draw on it.

I've cleaned it (including pipe cleaners down the tunnel & stem), all the o-rings are intact.

Even changed the atty (I thought maybe it was flooded), but the new one did exactly the same.

It still vapes fine, but it's massively annoying, to the point I won't be using it if it continues

Can anyone think of anything I may have missed?

It's one of these if it helps (well the old version. The only difference is the resistance) ePuffer Electronic Pipe E-PIPE 629

My first thought is are you getting liquid in the center when filling ?
The second thought is to make sure you haven't cross threaded the drop in coil.
Third...are all o-rings there and in the right places ?

Try just giving it a gentle blow out (wrapped in tissue) in case it's just liquid in the center.

or your liquid could be a bit thin for the hole sizes in the coil

Hope this helps - it's a start anyway :)

No.

It isn't.

Yes.

Been there done that, it goes away briefly then it comes back.

100% VG so I doubt it, plus it's fine in two other identical pipes.

It truly has me stumped, but I can't help thinking I'm missing something. Thanks though.

Is the power adjustable? Gurgling is usually cause by too much liquid in the coil that isn't vaporized so it needs more power~!

Not that I can see

Yep, they look like new.

My Theory is you Can't Break the Broken. So if you have Tried everything, and Nothing works, you might as well get a Small Needle or Clothing Pin and try Fluffing Up whatever cotton you can Reach.

BTW - Do you use a High PG e-Liquid by any chance?

Could it be that the 510 Pin on your e-Pipe is Not making a good Contact with the Atomizer. Or Vica Versa?

Can you adjust the 510 Pin on either the e-Pipe of the Atty?
At the base of the tank you mean? Not that I'm aware. The atty is certainly in there firmly & goes in & out with ease, so it's not cross-threaded

I'm thinking of the 510 Pin (inside the Threaded portion of the Atomizer) that makes Contact with you e-Pipe.

In the Picture below, the Atomizer 510 Pin is the Slotted round piece inside the 510 Threads.

Since it is Slotted, you might be able to Unscrew it (Anti-Clockwise) about a 1/4 Turn. This would make it Stick Out a Tad more.

Not sure if this would Help? But it would be Worth a Try if you are out of options.

I googled your gurgling

Anyway, I found a review that has a tip on it :
Best E-pipes UK 2017 - E Cigs UK
Scroll down just a little - it says :
2. For all day vapers: If you are getting a gargling noise, simply remove the silicon washer ( ring ) from the atomizer top.

There is also a video...

Worth a try

I somehow missed the last 3 replies & was just about to post an update.

It's gone. I took the whole thing apart, cleaned it meticulously, stuck pipe cleaners in every hole I could, left it a while & did it again.

An hour in & there's no sign of the gurgle. I will bear the suggestions in mind if it happens again, it's always nice to have more options to explore when something goes wrong. Thanks
