I need some math help please...

I have 24ml of 0mg juice

How much 60mg nic would I add to make 30mls of 12mg juice?

Why it confuses me altering pre-mixed juices IDK .

I don't want to nic poison myself so safer for me to ask for help first. Double checking myself here on my math.

The pre-mixed juice is 50/50 pg/vg w/extra flavor. My nic is pg. I'm not too concerned with the final pg/vg ratio being altered to a higher pg ratio. I just need to make it 12mg.

Hi rkayw,

You have 30 ml @12 mg/ml which equals 360 mg total.
Divide 360 by 60 to determine how many ml you need of the 60 mg; in this case 6 ml.
Now the remainder will be 0 mg, or 30 minus 6 = 24; or 24 ml of 0 mg.

So adding 6 ml of 60 mg. to 24 ml of 0 mg. will give you 30 ml of 12 mg.

OK, let me try to explain - but promise to tell me whether it is clear to you.
You want to get 30 ml of e-liquid containing 12 mg/ml.
That means you will have 30ml*12mg/ml = 360 mg of pure nic in it.

Now we take the solution containing 60 mg/ml

If 1 ml - 60 mg
then x ml - 360 mg

so x = (1*360)/60 = 6 ml - this is the amount of 60 mg/ml solution needed. The rest (30ml - 6 ml = 24 ml) should NOT contain nicotine. And... tadam... you have exactly 24 ml of such solution.

To sum up: you should take 6 ml of 60 mg/ml solution and add 24 mg of 0 mg/ml solution. Mix, let it stand for some hours and it's ready.

Indeed, that's why I sought input to check myself.

I always wear protective gear when mixing nic.

60/12 = 5 For whatever volume you want, the 60mg should account for 1 fifth of the volume.

I'd add (just in case) - 1/5th of the total volume. And this applies only to dilution with solution not containing nicotine.
