Okay, so I made a 10ml bottle of gummy bear with 10% flavor concentrate. It was way too strong and tasted like car cleaner. Anyway, I didnt want to throw it away so I mixed it with some apple concentrate. My question is if I diluted it by 10% and I used that diluted solution in another recipe what would the concentrate equivalent of that be?

basically my recipe is something like this
14% gummy bear (diluted it with 10ml pg/vg mix at 10%)
15% apple concentrate
4% sweetner

I want to figure out what the concentrated version would be in my recipe? Does that make sense? anyway I made a 5ml batch and it kind of tastes like a pixie stick and I like it a lot but I want to be able to replicate it without diluting the gummy bear first.

So, to clarify, your first batch was:

90% (9ml) pg/vg mix
10% (1ml) gummy bear concentrate

...is that correct? And then you made the following recipe:

14% "first batch"
15% apple concentrate
4% sweetener
(67% pg/vg mix)

and you're trying to figure out what the actual % of the gummy bear concentrate is, in the second batch? In that case, we're looking at something like:

Of that 14% "first batch" that went into the second batch, 1.4% (of the total) was gummy bear flavor and the remaining 12.6% was the pg/vg mix. So the final recipe would look like:

1.4% gummy bear concentrate
12.6% pg/vg
15% apple concentrate
4% sweetener
another 67% pg/vg mix

add the pg/vg's together, and it looks like:

79.6% pg/vg
15% apple concentrate
1.4% gummy bear concentrate
4% sweetener.

...if that's not what you meant, then I'm afraid you'll have to clarify a bit further, as to be honest it's pretty hard to tell quite what you're asking.

Thanks for the responses!

I originally planned on making just a gummy bear flavor 9ml vg/pg mix then 10% gummy concentrate 10ml total. The end result was very nasty but i did not want to throw away the mix. So, I was playing around and decided to try it with some apple concentrate. I wasnt sure how to break it down to use it in the calculator so I considered it a concentrate in my recipe. I know, I know it should not have been done that way, but I am new to this and it was the only thing I could think of to do.
so I did

5ml base (50/50 mix)
14% gummy bear (the 10% batch)
15% apple concentrate
edit* 5% sweetener

I know it is flawed and the final percentages do not add up right but like I said I was unsure how to break it down and I want to make it right.

bwh79 I believe you have answered my question :) I was simply trying to figure out the calculation for the diluted gummy bear so i could edit and remake my recipe with the proper amounts using all concentrate:) I know it was a bit confusing so thank you so much for solving this for me! that was my thought but I was not for sure! now to tweak it a bit to get it right.

Also, the recipes on here... I would like to give them a try but what if I want to make a smaller or larger batch. The percentages stay the same correct? ie. a 5ml batch with 2% flavor=0.1ml, but the same percentage in a 10ml batch=0.2ml correct? sorry I'm new to all this and explaining things seems to be a bit of a challenge.

anyway, thanks everyone!

Here is a combine calculator I use that should help you at least be able to easily calculate and see what nic level you are vaping. I have had strong juices and did this with just adding vg and I did not have a problem with diminished flavors. I just didn't want to waste anything.

+2 thanks, Rat2chat2, was looking for something like this to use up some juices at various strengths.

I happen to agree with you and I now realize what a smart man you must be. :sneaky:

Welcome aboard
I know nothing, just ask anybody.:)

I do not believe that for one second.

A likely story!

yes, I think you are right.

You are so welcome. So glad I could help. I know most prefer the e Juice Me Up but I have been very pleased with all their calculators and use them for my own DIY.
