max vg thin clouds

Before I try something just thought I'd post here. I've switched to a max vg adding a little pg/vg mix for flavor. Anyways I notice my clouds seem the same or thinner then I was using just high pg. This doesn't make sense as I thought vg made the clouds thicker. Maybe I'm missing something. The clouds are bigger but they are not that dense thick vape I'm looking for.

What atomizer and power source are you using? What resistance is your coil and how much power are you applying? There are a lot of different variables that could be causing your problem. More information is needed to give you any kind of decent answer

As @Larry J said, there are a lot of other factors that go into producing clouds. For example, if you're using something like an Ego kit, the PG/VG level isn't going to change the cloud production much, if at all. In fact -- for that specific example, high PG would probably work better for cloud production with an Ego kit tank just because it'd wick much better.

Ah, I see now you're using a Subtank. With my subtank in specific I haven't noticed much difference switching between a 50/50 PG/VG blend and a high-VG blend. There is a very slight difference but it's not going to be night and day.

On something like an RDA or even a high-power RTA, the PG/VG blend makes a very large difference.

I read not to make too many threads but I have a new question. My device is vaping fine however if I'm using a .5 coils at 26w shouldn't the vapor be a little warm. It's not at all it's quite smooth. Is this normal?

For me, 26 watts on a .5 ohm coil is not all that much. I sue a SubTank Plus with a .5 coil and regularly vape at anywhere from 40-55 watts, sometimes more. How wide open is your airflow control?

I use to have the Kanger subtank and I used a .5 coil, i normal ran it at about 30 - 35 watts but when i was in the mood i bumped it up to about 40 - 45 watts to get some warmer clouds. I was able to see a small difference in cloud size with that tank when using the different vg%. but it wasnt a huge differences like with my rda.

+1. I think I would raise the power level a bit and see what it gets you.

Increase the wattage. As long as you're not getting any burnt taste or dry hits you're fine. You should get a significant increase in the amount of vapor produced as well.

I use subtank nano .5ohm SSOCC coils and with 60VG up to 80VG do not notice much difference in cloud density. Not that that's what I care about though.

26W is okay for 50/50 or maybe 60Vg but for higher VG - I like 70VG best in this tank and coil I start at 30W and after a few days when production and flavour drop a little, I change it to 35W and keep it there until it dies.

With new coil and 60VG though yeah 26W would be fine for me with a few 30W hits after an hour or so for more intensity. I only like the nano with wide open air flow. But it's a subjective thing, just keep doing it how you like doing it

The airiness of a tank will cause vape to be cool.

If you want it warmer restrict the airflow.

I had a bicycle one time... I put bigger pedals on it and it didnt go faster...
there is Sooooo much more to making "Cloudz" than VG and low ohms...
the juice makes a difference, the humidity factor makes a difference, the size of the coil makes a difference, the type of wick makes a difference.... the size of your lungs makes a difference... its an art form not a science, altho some science is involved...

I turned it up to 31.5 and helps a lot. Thanks for the advice. Do you think I should push it more or am I good where I'm at? I mean personally I feel good where I'm at. I'm more asking if pushing it more would be wise. Or should I just experiment. I was also wondering off topic. I have an evod as well with the vision spinner II for a battery. Sometimes I'll hold it to my ear (not too close) just to hear the sound it's making so i can hear if it's a healthy (for lack of a better word) fire up. I've noticed that after a few draws it will sound muffled when I fire the button and listen to the sound. It's an easy fix I just blow lightly without firing into the mouthpiece and then it fires fine again. Does anyone know why this happens or has experienced this? Also when I do blow through the mouthpiece a little vapor comes out the air holes so I think it just clears the airflow.

You answered your own question about the evod+spinner.

If you like 31.5W vape it there. Try 35W and see how it is. From experience I think 35W on a subtank will burn some liquids but not others.

Great thing about VW/VV deviced is you can dial it in to wherever you like best. For me I sometimes vape a tank and liquid at a constant temperature or I'll enjoy a few pulls from anywhere from 25W to 35W in one session. Find the limits of that juice on that coil, ie where it won't vape and where it will burn (don't worry, one burn hit will not be nice but open the airflow and take a few more hits at lower watts and the taste will go and the nice taste will come back.)

As for 'cloudz bro' (a meme on ECF) on the subtanks the people you see making them online or in real life, they use special liquids. Also the inhale / exhale - they will likely not fully absorb and hold the vapour in their lungs like we do when we want to savour the draw, if you just inhale, and then exhale quickly like with a cigar, pursing your lips for a thin stream, you'll get those whiter, denser clouds like they do on the youtube videos etc even with 60/40.

I figured as much. I turned it up to 32.8 and its amazing. There doesn't seem to be that crackle at the beginning. Like before I'd have to wait for that break in if you will the suck pull draw however you want to put it but at 32+ it vapes immediately. Is this a good thing? I have blown some dense clouds before but purely on accident. I don't want to worry about clouds but i do like a decent amount of vapor and its possibly from the videos I've watched. It does look cool to me.

Your talking about 'ramp up' time.

As far as I understand it, higher Amp the battery, the higher they ramp up the heat to the coil. My local B&M sells three different 18650's (is that the right number?) and they range from £5, £10 and £15 per two. The more expensive ones ramp up real fast.

I use a mod with a built in non replaceable battery, so higher the watts, quicker the ramp up speed. You should use the search function to read more about it, there are some good FAQ pages on this site for these sort of knowledge bases.
