Uh...have you actually SEEN me and Sterno?

Wow, been off the thread for a few hours and look what happens! Awesome!

Unsure about extended stay...I have apnea and have to sleep with a machine, and Sterno just snores.
I'm told.

Clyde..there's two individual bed rooms and each has a loft bed...no excuses for not staying over! Please?:D

psst...Alice said she'd play strip poker if you n Scoot stay over...just sayin'.....

There are these things called ear plugs. I have a pack of unused ones, several pairs, the foam, expanding kind. I rarely use them, unless using noisy things, as I have to be "on guard" most of time. But they do effectively filter out much snoring noise. I'm not worried about security one bit and for a change won't have to keep one eye and one ear open for Bubs stirring up trouble.

Ya'll start talking about food and requests. If anyone wants to give me a beer list Kay and I can pick up beer. Just before entering OK, while still on TX side of border (Red River), there is a last stop liquor store and on way up I-35 and several places that sell real beer in TX. Kay and I will be going into Big D to pick up some Sherry for split pea soup the Ratmans are bringing..... sour cream or others for you non imbibers..... so if have any liquor request we'll have to get it then. We can get almost anything up to 17% alcohol out here but nothing stronger.

Gotta run. So excited. I'll give more detailed directions later. They are extremely easy!

Hugs, Feisty Alice

Oh, yeah..... should I thaw the pork center loins, mild Italian sausages, and huge Organic Chicken? We need volunteers for tending the grill. Suggestions please.... Chime in anyone even if you aren't coming.

Thanks George. I agree on chile and cornbread. Clyde is bringing big pot of blackeyed peas. Cornbread can be made ahead and refregerated. I can bring free range grass fed butter and those wanting Benical or similar can volunteer.

Two of my door prizes are going to be doc's office jars, like old time cotton ball storage, filled with tongue depressors (jumbo craft sticks). That's what we use in our kitchen instead of dirtying up so much flatware spreading stuff. I'll bring a box for us to use there.

Volunteers for cornbread?

Volunteers for chili?

Lots of cooking can be done there but I'm so ADHD I'll be to distracted socializing it will be hard for me to do much cooking.

My phone takes great pics. I think I have an extra 32 gig micro card and if our wifi and or cell signals crummy we can go up to my car to send pic/video out near real time. Surely others have great pic taking phones too.

But good idea to have one person as pic boss.

Gotta run, Feisty

It's a little known fact but they also serve a very legitimate medical purpose. In the unthinkable event that one finds himself short of ...... at a crucial time two tongue depressors and a roll of duct tape can be used as a substitute.

WHAT? Dave posts weird facts everyday.

When you're feeding a crowd, you can't go wrong with a big pot of chili and cornbread!

You guys need a designated archivist to take pictures and notes so those of us unfortunates who can't make it can vicariously enjoy the meet! If I was able to go, I'd volunteer!

Not me for sure!!! I have lost all the few organizational skills I ever had. But I have no issues taking loads of pics.

Btw... I would suggest bringing rolling luggage, carriers, etc., to get your stuff in. I have a hard bottom duffle with wheels to bring in lots of stuff. Personal stuff in a rolling carry on. I'm used to lots of walking. AND..... once I get stuff in Friday everyone can use it for same purpose. I have a good sized soft side spring up cooler that will hold several bags of ice.

Paper towels are furnished (and TP) in those big cylinder dispensers where towels are pulled out bottom. Dish soap and cleaning products but not sure about laundry soap. I'll bring a jug of chlorine bleach and some no fragrance clothes washing detergent.

But the Keurig is upstairs and big box of Paul Newman cups already. Unpack your pot (I wonder if that word will get censored) We'll or I will have to make a Costco run one day. I can get plain ol beans for Ardmore. We are going to be boiling up a bunch of organic eggs Thursday and peeled and then we'll make them deviled at Ardmore.

If I can't wear my Cumquat scented, silky skin promoting body lotion I'm not coming. (Can you imagine what I'd look like if I didn't use it... Nerak could use me for her Avatar.)

Jack

I think cumquat is okay Jack. We want you all pretty.

FYI.... I don't do "fancy" coffee flavors. The fanciest I get is I prefer heavy cream but will use milk only in a pinch. If anyone wants flavored coffee they can bring some flavored creamer.

At Gazebo is regular coffee maker and a group sized one and supplied filters.

Oh yeah..... geese and ducks roam all around. Jack.... they are pets.
