I've been contentedly using a Grand for the last week and have very much enjoyed both the vape and the squonking experience, probably the squonking more so since I'm use to a warmer vape and occasionally feel the need to rendezvous with my ProVari's at a non-discript, out of the way motel for some illicit hot vaping.
I knew this two-timing way of life could not continue without unwanted ramifications and was giddy with excitement when my USPS tracking number indicated that my recently ordered Kick was out for delivery thus negating the agonizing wait through the long holiday weekend until Tuesday's mail delivery.
Not one to take child labor laws too seriously I had my grandson fire up his ATV and drive to the mailbox to await the normal 1PM delivery. He returned at 1:30 PM sans package, or stack of bills, explaining that the mail lady never arrived. My suspicion is that he met some teenage girl on the dirt road and never actually made it to the mailbox. (My daughter complains that he's too much like his grandfather. He's gonna have a fun life.)
In the history of the universe I never gone a day without at least junk mail in the mailbox, especially during an election season so I bribed him with the promise of taking him shooting and letting him load his own ammunition for the outing. This was more than enough incentive for him to make the trip every hour. Shortly before 7PM he presented my with the awaited package. (Turns out our mail lady took the holiday weekend off and her substitute was some guy who would starve to death if you locked him in a Safeway overnight.)
As with the Grand, I was well acquainted with the operation of the Kick prior to its arrival and not big on delayed gratification I chose not to run a ground wire, bend a piece of aluminum or construct a Kickstand, I simply used a flexible sanding stick and cleaned off an area for a ground. It took mere moments to slap on a 2.5 ohm HH 357 and transport myself to vaping Nirvana. (Yes, I understand that I get an equally outstanding vape on the ProVari's but there is no squonking involved with them and squonking is what keeps my feeble mind entertained.)
As pleased as I am with the Kick I am left in a conundrum and hence my question and plea for opinions. According to the Reos Mods website VVGrands will be offered for purchase for an unspecified renumeration this coming Saturday night. With the limited amount being offered the chances of actually being quick enough to get one are probably lower than winning the Powerball, two weeks in a row but a challenge is one of the many things that makes life interesting.
So, is it worth being late, or even having to cancel a scheduled dinner engagement so as to hunch over a computer screen and attempt to purchase an elusive VV Grand or would the same results be achieved by simply buying another Grand and equipping it too with a Kick. (On it's face it does seem rather ridiculous to possibly miss a date with a very attractive lady just to buy another mod but ladies are the reason I quit smoking in the first place. I guess you could say I'm willing to make this personal sacrifice for the long term good... my good.)
Any guidance in the form of pros and cons concerning the the Kicked Grand vs. the VV Grand would be greatly appreciated.
