May I have some advice for weakening my juice?

Hi all. Some of my favorite juice to vape all day is TopVapor Blueberry (from madvapes). I've had many bottles of it and recently decided to order a larger bottle, 30ml. I decided to up the nicotine level from my normal 24 to 36 for this order since TopVapor juice is typically super smooth and little TH. To my surprise this stuff is wicked strong, with massive TH.

Can anyone please advise how I could dumb it down some? Like pour half of the bottle (15ml) into equal parts of VG or PG?

Thanks a bunch!!!!

Someone was suggesting this yesterday as a way to save money and he said 20-25%. I mix all my own, so I can't tell you otherwise how it will work in terms of the flavor being strong enough still. Up to you if you want to take that risk and you know how the flavor is.

Hello, thank you. So he said 20-25% of what, adding that amount of PG or VG to my 30ml original solution? Would that be something like adding 7.5ml of cut to the original bottle of 30ml?

Much appreciated!

If it's the same post I read, then yes, he was suggesting that diluting down in that range usually didn't ruin the flavor for him. My (limited) experience is different tho. The few times I've tried this has resulted in too much flavor loss to suit me. The only thing that's worked for me is mixing lesser strength but good juice with the higher. As far as the math, I'm thanking that adding 10 ml of VG would give you 40 ml, 25 percent of it being VG and 75 percent of it original. Should take the nic level to about 27mg. But I'm not good at math so you probably should run that thru a calculator. If my math is correct you could try a little by mixing three drops juice and one drop VG and see what you get. Hope this helps and that I've not steered you to far wrong. lol. Later, JD. :vapor:

I guess that is what he meant, 20-25% of the result would be the plain added PG/VG. There is technically no reason why you couldn't make it a more diluted mix, it just depends how weakened of a flavor you can tolerate.

Your normal was 24mg and new is 36mg, so you could get the old nic there by adding 15ml plain juice or 33% of the final mix. Will this dilute the flavor too much though? Got me. Since you seem to want a throat hit in between, I would try adding like 5ml at a time or less, shake and test. Also, there is a good calc at breaktru.com so you can play around with the numbers yourself.

This and others are great suggestions!! Thanks so much! I think I will go this route, add 5ml at a time. As I am not totally concerned with the flavor loss on this particular juice, it's stuffed ripe with blueberry love :p

I can always count on fellow ECFers for great advice, thanks again!

Just an added suggestion. Maybe just do it in small increments in a 10ml bottle. If you keep track of your percentages once you get it where you'd like it, you can always do the rest later.

This is a good idea too, especially if you have some syringe at least to keep track of the measurements. Drops from the typical small squeeze bottles are roughly 20 = 1ml but you can actually measure bottles with water to get a closer idea. I often make DIY mixes as small as 2-3ml, so you don't even need to go up to 10ml total to test what ratio works for you.

Hi all, so I get my plain 0mg juice today. I plan to experiement on a smaller batch so that I don't kill my 30ml bottle of blueberry.

So...

If I want to mix a 10ml bottle to start with:

My original bottle of blueberry is 30ml and 36mg (too strong for me). So if I want to fill a 10ml bottle with that, and some 0mg juice and end up with about 24mg nicotine in the final solution...how much would I need to add of each liquid?

LOL, and we thought we'd never have the need for all that math in school!

Thanks so much!

I love how you think aprioristic. I do about the same with a 3ml ratio to start and usually end up adding until the mix seems right. With a 6 or 10ml bottle I usually don't have to switch containers. Does this mean I'm lazy? lol

Nah, that is the smart way to do it. I use 6ml or random 10/15 laying around.

10 ML of 36 mg juice plus 5 ML of 0mg juice will give you 15mL of 24 mg juice.
or
7 ml of 36 mg juice plus 3 ml of 0 mg juice will give you 10mL of 25.2 mg juice
or
6.5 ml of 36 mg juice plus 3.5 ml of 0 mg juice will give you 10ml of 23.4 mg juice.

Whaaaaasoooome!

Thanks!

Hi all,

So here's my update.

I took 10ml of my 36mg Blueberry juice (TopVapor - MadVapes) and added 5ml of 0mg juice (also TopVapor) to obtain 15ml of 24mg solution. The results were:

1. The flavor was noticeably weakened, but not bad
2. The smell and taste of high nicotine is still present
3. The throat hit weakened which was a plus

So I think I will now try, as suggested, using a lower mg juice of the same flavor, cutting that into my high mg juice. This way I hope to not lose flavor, get rid of the high mg nico taste and smell, and lower the TH some.

Thanks again for your help!
