I got a white letter sized envelope in the mail today, taped heavily on both sides. It was taped front and back, but not 'folded over' the edges. There was an opening about 2 inches long at the bottom of it and the envelope was empty :( Not an address I have in my book, but I have slacked some with it.

So: if someone sent me something from salt Lake City, UT in a plain white envelope would you please check in here and let me know what it was???

On a side note, day 6 not smoking sucks.....really, really sucks. Not cravings, just uber moody and Murphy's law in full effect!

Take it to the PO and ask for an explanation.

If USPS had found the envelope and the contents together they would have repaired and forwarded it, if it had sufficient postage, so it's likely they have no idea of the whereabouts of the contents.

Probably not worth the time to pursue at PO as it doesn't look like USPS did anything wrong as mailer likely used an envelope when a package is required by USPS. What was the postage amount?

You could try some deductive reasoning:

I'm assuming there was sufficient postage as you didn't mention any "postage due" upon delivery, so if you can think back to anything that you bought or traded for that was less than 1/4" thick, that may be it, as anything thicker is non-machinable and requires mailing in something other than a letter envelope.

Then again, if it was insufficient postage maybe a kind postal employee just intentionally ignored that, as many are known to do.

Sorry you're not feeling well, but it seems to me to be one of the side effects. I got through mine by blogging here on ECF about what I was experiencing.
I have never done that before and it really helped me personally. Each symptom seemed to last about a week for me, I'm hoping it shall be short lived for you too.
just keep at it and remember we are all here for you should you need the support and to vent.
