Maybe you can help-- Disposable?

Very few pro's except you get the opportunity to try an e-cig relatively cheap.

Con's are there is no choices in nic mg or flavorings, and it's either regular or menthol @ ~18mg.
It gives a very poor indication of what is really available in the e-cig world. Some try em and continue looking for better.
Others try em and basically say e-cigs are junk.
(We Know Better!)

They are designed to die over the usage of the cartomizer(s) (some give more than one).
The batteries are throw away and not rechargeable.

I've tried one and it was a major disappointment but some are exact replicas of what is available from a specific company and are used as a trial tester, so I won't be so quick to totally discount them.

When I was debating on whether to join the Vape Side, I tried a disposable from my local vendor Vapor Kings. Their disposables run about 10 bucks but they use the same eliquid they sell, either tobacco or tobacco menthol flavor. I actually liked the disposable and was sad when it ran out as I hadn't purchased a kit yet.

What others have said is spot on. They are a try-out thing, have finite life. If a friend wants to try it out, but no clue as to whether it's for them, aspare battery matching whatever you use, with a new filled cartomizer, is handy. If you have your own set up, a standalone spare battery can be picked up pretty cheaply, used as a backup for you as well as a loaner for someone to try.

Hello,

I am seeing a lot of e-cigs that are listed as disposable. Are they all disposable? If not, then what's the difference? Other than the fact that they can be disposed of (ie. battery life and stuff like that).

In short, what are the pros and cons, do you think?

My very first ecig was a disposable and I thought it was so great that it's what got me to consider vaping and decide that I could do this. As far as my experience, it was 1000% worth it.

It was a great and I mean great disposable that was offered here by a registered supplier during my pre-vaping, lurking days. He offered a limited amount free and you paid for shipping. (This is not like the free trials you are warned about- and do avoid them).

Everyone that tried it loved it. And that thing lasted weeks. I'll bet about 15 people tried it and everyone liked it. It says 500 puffs and they aren't lying. They say not to, but I even refilled it and the battery was still going strong.

I can't vouch for all disposables, but I can vouch for this one. Flavor was a 10, TH was a 10. Most disposables are like sucking a milkshake through a straw. This one had an unbelievable draw.

If you want to see if it's for you or someone you know, I would definitely try it. True it's not economical. Add a few dollars more and you can get a kit. But if you don't want to committ to that and want to try it without getting poisioned by horrible juice I'd highly recommend it.

The apollos are sweet disposables. If I had friends/relatives living a ways off who I wanted to send something to try, without wanting to get it back, the apollos would be good. A decent juice, and the non-rechargeable battery lasts longer than a single rechargeable of similar size.

Likewise, we sold a disposable and the cost was refundable when a kit was purchased.
It was a good means to let folks try an e-cig for a day or so, and if it was to their liking, they brought back a coupon (that came with the unit) and turned it in for a discount on a kit.
Again, you had only 2 flavor choices, and a single nicotine level to mess with.

The ones I've tried in gas stations/7-11's weren't the best. Doesn't mean good aren't out there, but that was my experience.

Usually disposable ones have parts that are not meant to be used with the parts of the real item. Cheaper parts, maybe different voltage or polarity, meant for a temporary ecig or for trying out an ecig without buying a whole kit. They can also be made in a way not intended to last, maybe crappier parts, maybe missing protection circuits - cost reduced.
