I don't know what Farscape is. Is that a UK thing, or have I just been in my mancave too long?

Been in your mancave too long!!! Farscape was IMO one of the best SciFi shows ever on. Story line was great, characters were great, special affects were fantastic! It was just....great!

For all you Farscape fans out there...I really miss Pilot! I loved Pilot and had him for my wallpaper at work for awhile. All of my co-workers thought I was nuts!!!!

I think Net Flix has at least the first 3 seasons!

I don't know if Jeff can do "seamless" (that's the term you're looking for) and I've never seen a chuck in person so can't answer definatively. However, even if there is a seam, it'll be less noticable it the two sides blend (then the only visibile seam would be the "crack" as opposed to a glaring switch it colors!)

BTW, there are pretty easy ways to make an image seamless that involves offsetting the image halfway to one side so that the side seams are touching then you can clean it up (using the tools of your choice such as blur, stamp, dodge, burn, noise, etc.). If you google PS seamless tutorial you'll find tons of step-by-step instructions.

Just my $.01

I kept starting to type "seamless," but it just didn't seem right since there will be a literal seam. :) Technically correct, but felt weird.

I haven't done this in a while, but I've used blur and stamp most often, along with "completing" portions of the image that extend beyond the edge of the graphic by flipping it and adding it to the other side. It always depends on the image and the desired result, doesn't it? :) Thanks much!

Can I jump in with a question about wrap around images?

I've made a deal with my husband that I can buy a Chuck when I've been cigarette free for one week, so I've been playing with images ('cause I'm optimistic that way). With several of the images, it would be easy enough to alter the sides slightly so that the edges would match and blend together where they met, as if the original graphic had been done in the round. Not sure if I'm explaining this right. I already did one, and changed the sides so that they're like pieces of wallpaper meeting up now.

So I guess my questions are: Will Jeff do images that go all the way around like that? and, Where the edges connect, will it look like wallpaper a professional installed, or will it look like the wallpaper I've put up myself?
My 2nd Little Chuck is a repeating design that wraps around the whole body and the seam lines up fine, although the image itself doesn't "meet" at the seam (there's a slight gap between images).

I don't have the original image 'cuz I won it in the Christmas Chuck contest. CrashTestJeep was the submitter of the design (and my Green Lantern Little Chuck is cursing her to this day for being ignored now!)

CTJ: what did you send to Jeff for the Orange Beauty's image?

Maybe Kona can chime in here: his Hawaiian design looked like wrapped all the way around.

And I wouldn't worry too much Jo: Jeff's owns a print shop and has been known to work a submitted image until it looks right...include a description of what you're looking to accomplish along with your image and if he has questions or can't do it, he'll let you know.

Thank you so much, Arkangel. After I read in another thread that he owns a print shop, I started feeling better about the idea because he's probably as picky as I am. ;) I've had too many instances over the years where someone said he could do something, but his standards were quite a bit lower. :p I'd rather have something a bit more plain than something improperly done, kwim? Though from the pictures I've seen, "plain" doesn't exactly seem to fit as a description.

Here is what I wrote Ella, who had a similar question:

"The "full coverage" image I sent Jeff was approximately 3.5" tall and 3.25" wide. I just measured my LC body and the printable area is actually 3" tall and just a hair over 3" wide for a full wrap, so those dimensions should work for you. He can always adjust the dimensions as well, as he seems to be a pro at it. I just figure go a little bigger and it is easier to shrink it down a bit.

My image was at 300dpi resolution, but I know he can work with lower res as well...

Hope this helps."

My full wrap does have seam at the back, a straight line that looks clean and professional. I am sure it depends on the exact matchup of the particular design, but rest assured, Jeff will do a dynamite job! I couldn't be happier with the results...

Aloha
