My TW Tornado Battery has a volt reading of 4Volts (these are meant to be 3.7). I have not measured the ohms on the Atomizers i got with Tornado yet but i have measured the standard 510 atomizers from ecigz and they measured at 3.8 to 4 ohms (this is quite high). E Cigz Ecigs E cigs Australia Electronic cigarette Joye 510 , DSE 905 , 901 Atomizers Batteries Blue Foam Mega Batteries are selling low ohm atomizers that are meant to measure 1.7 to 1.8 this is less than half which is brilliant. Hi volts plus low ohms equals happy vapour. :)

Just to set some standards.
"3.7volt" batts can be anywhere from 4.2 volts (fully charged) down to 3.4 volts (when over-discharge protection cuts in). These figures are with no load.
Be aware that 510 & eGo/Tornado batts have a voltage reducing curcuit and only supply 3.1 volts to the atty.
When measuring low resistance: firstly touch the 2 probes of your meter together, if there is a reading higher than 0.0 take note of the figure - this is the resistance of the meter/leads and must be subtracted from the end result. ie: my cheap meter has an internal resistance of 0.5 ohms, measuring a genuine Joye 510 atty gives me a reading 2.7 ohms - subtract 0.5 and we get 2.2 ohms, being the true figure.
Some atty results I have found:
(As above) Joye 510: 2.2-2.3
Joye 510 mega/XL: 2.2
510 wide bridge (the one you measured): 3.2
510 carto reported to be 2.7 (I dont have one as yet).
KR808 carto: these vary alot, but average is about 2.9

i have measured the standard 510 atomizers from ecigz and they measured at 3.8 to 4 ohms (this is quite high).

Understatement of the day... they will burn warm, create bugger all vapour and vape like a wet sock, but batteries will last a couple of centuries on a single charge.

meant to measure 1.7 to 1.8 this is less than half which is brilliant. Hi volts plus low ohms equals happy vapour.
His standard atties were supposed to be 2.2, so lets wait until they arrive before getting to excited or placing big orders. And as a heads up Com, you're not supposed to run the LR atties @ high volts.

A LR atty on a Tornado isn't quite at the same wattage of a true 5v with a standard 510 atty, it is on a true 3.7 device though. Here are the numbers from one of Drozd's post:

"Totally stock 510 is 2.3Ω at 3.1V = 4.2W (heat)

1.5Ω LR atty
3.1V(torneGo) =6.4W
3.7V=9.1W
5V=16.7W
6V=24W
7.4V=36.5W

Standard joye atty (2.3Ω)
3.7V=5.95w
5V=10.9w
6V=15.7w
7.4V=23.8w

4.5Ω HR atty
3.7V=3.04
5V=5.6w
6V=8w
7.4V=12.2w

You're shooting for between 8-10W (more and you'll get burnt taste starting to come through)

ok got some more LR's today. These ones are from HG. The 510 attys measure at 1.3 to 1.4 this makes a 3.7v device like my 905 a 10w PV which is meant to be the best vape. I got some normal attys to and they measure at about 2-2.1 ohms not to sure what i am going to use these on yet as they are to low for 6v 905 and to hi for 3.7. The 901 attys i got measure at about 3 which is great for 6v.

Hey fellas, not real cluey on the voltage and ohms tip so I need a hint.

I bought a EM RIVA from ecigz.com.au which is bloody awesome compared to a 510! Looks like your sporting a crack-pipe but it performs really well.

It came with 2 atty's - The bad thing is that 1 atty was pretty much already dead before I fired it up, the next atty performed really well up until I gave it a bit of a blow and died on me after about only 2 weeks. This is balls!

So I'm looking at (obviously) stocking up on atty's.
What I need to know is, what ohms is the EM-RIVA standard atty it's shipped with - since the one that actually worked performed really well until it shat itself.
The bloke from ecigz.com.au seems to think it "should" be 2.2ohms.

I tried my older atty's (which I bought while I was on my 510) on the RIVA batt's and they burn, but not that well.
Couple questions (Keep in mind these batteries are 750mah):

1. Would a high resitance atty perform better? Or a low?
2. What's the difference?
3. Should I buy the 3.2ohms, 2.2ohm or 1.5ohms?

I'm pretty clueless haha, cheers fellas

Hey Dismal. The riva should be a 3.7 volt. 750mah is just how long it will last for. I have a Tornado which is pretty much the same as the Riva and i use the 1.5ohm attys with it. The batteries will not last as long using a LR atty but i was ok with this. Def do not use HR attys with it.

The closer to 10 the better the vape

1.5Ω LR atty
3.1V(torneGo) =6.4W
3.7V=9.1W
5V=16.7W
6V=24W
7.4V=36.5W
