Hi guys, I am using a Pulse G rba and I am testing my coil for safety reasons. I have watched the tutorial vid by GeekGirlVaper about using a multimeter.

Question is, when testing coil resistance on RBAs or RDAs do I put the black lead onto the thread and red onto the connector just like what the video says or reading from other sources- put the black lead into the negative post where you will tie one end of the coil and the red lead into the positive post?

Or it does not matter?

I am really confused and I don't want to go sub ohm due to safety reasons. Cheers!:vapor:

The multimeter will read the resistance between the two points you've touched (plus its own internal resistance, unless it's self zeroing). You basically can't damage anything measuring resistance in an unpowered device, so feel free to just muck around with it and see what happens.

It makes no difference which lead you put on which side - the atomiser is clearly a dumb lump of metal, and has no concern as to which way current flows.

If you want to measure the complete resistance of the atomiser, use the body and the positive pin.

If you want to measure the resistance of the coil, use the top of the posts it's attached to.

when checking ohms it normally does not matter but check on the base (510) threads and positive post of your rba, not where you actually attach the coil

Make sure you check the resistance of you meter leads and either zero the meter (if possible) or just remember the # and subtract it from your actual reading (my meter leads are consistently .3 to .4 ohms so I check every single time - temperature matters)
