I work at a pharmacy and we use "Flavorx" flavors for medicine. They are PG based with artificial flavor. They have special flavoring for Vets. Chicken potpie, crispy bacon, fish chowder, red angus beef, grilled tuna and salmon steak. They are listed as over the counter chemicals. Check out their web site

Chef, have you looked at FlavourArt's offerings? I know they have anchovy, and several beef flavors. I haven't tried those, but the other FlavourArt flavors I've tried have been excellent.

Wow! Those "Flavorx" flavors look really interesting! I wonder if there is any way to get my hands on some around here? Hmmmmm - I wish I still had some pharmacist connections! If anyone finds an online source I hope they will post the information here! I love the idea of good savory flavors.

I just ordered some bacon flavored juice today from Ms T's Bakery Essentials. I can't wait to try it!

I've not tried them yet, but I've heard good things and a lot of the flavors look tasty. They also have lots of other uncommon flavors available.

Flavourart also has bacon flavoring available.

I have some of the flavorart bacon and have been experimenting with it. I do know that it takes VERY LITTLE of the flavoring to have a pretty strong impact. I have added a touch of sweetness and it seems to complement the flavor well. I'll work on it some more this weekend and report back.

Glad to hear it. I have been considering ordering some of their flavors, but the price seemed a little steep, and I wasn't sure if the strength of flavor would warrant the price. I've not seen anything bad about their flavors and they seem to be quite strong, so I may just take the plunge.

I think some of this is going to people's head. Some of these flavors sound discusting. This an alternative to cigarettes. When did you ever taste a cigarette with flavors like these. Some of you will try anything.

Oh my God. If there is ever a really good bacon flavor then my vaping will probably end up costing more than analogs. Hell, I even have bacon flavored dental floss.

Martha...it is an alternative yes. But if Marlboro ever came out with Roast Beef Sandwich Filtered Reds...I would have bought them out of sheer curiosity. Granted I wouldn't go near chicken liver and onions or something of the sort..though this one time I did buy the Jones Soda Holiday pack one year. It had Turkey and Gravy Soda, Cranberry, Brussels Sprouts, and Pumpkin Pie if I recall.

Wanna talk about disgusting? Try some brussel spout soda. By far, the most disgusting taste I have ever encountered in my life.

I'm just interested in bacon flavored ANYTHING personally. I have bacon mayo, lollipops, chips, salt, soap, mints, and bandaids that look like bacon and many other things bacon related, even dental floss (which doesn't quite taste like anything for the record).

Some of us are just curious in that way. And of course, people being individuals and all....your opinion of MY personal tastes and curiosities is of little consequence. I'm proud to be the type to "try anything once" then allow someone else to make up my mind for me. So nyah.

ok I definitely don't see why anyone would have a problem with others trying whatever flavors they want.

And I am definitely interested in and planning to try the bacon flavored mixes from Ms Ts Bakery Essentials along with many of the other interesting looking mixes she has (like the french toast )

but I don't think I would want to wash myself to end up smelling like bacon

well... i guess it could be handy to have around if you're a kid. that way if your mother threatens to wash your mouth out with soap it won't be so bad.
