I just went ahead the other day and bought the Private mech from fasttech.

It just shipped, and due to this thread and the research it led to:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/485366-any-truth-fasttech-fakes.html

I am already dreading its arrival.

Despite their 5 star reviews, most reviewers on the fasttech site said the pin needs to be adjusted, the chrome needs to be sanded, the threads aren't made properly, etc and so on.

Bottom line, it doesn't appear as if it is going to work out of the box.

My local vendor tried to get me to buy the Magneto when I first moved into rebuildable tanks, but I respectfully declined and went with my Smoktech Natural instead. It's great and all, but the button being on the side, as opposed to the bottom, gets very frustrating, as my RSST works best with the air hole facing downward, and depending on my battery, air hole alignment changes.

So, here is my question: If I want a new mod with the firing button on the bottom, what should I go with? I don't want to spend a fortune, but I do want something weighty and attractive. I liked the Private at first glance, but lesson learned; never again will I make a purchase without doing some extensive research beforehand.

Help me out, please. Links to vendors and the like are appreciated.

if i was buying a cloned mod right now I would probably go for this, the magneto got great reviews i can only imagine brass makes it better.

the natural pin is adjustable, position the atty where you want it, take the head off, then screw in the bolt to lock it into place.

Yeah, I do this often. I consider it a bit of a hassle. I suppose it's really not that big of a deal though. Overall the Natural is a great mod, and it looks great with my RSST. Maybe I should just stick with it. :/

Edit: Is that genuine? Looks to be.

I have to agree. I have a Magneto and it is by far my favorite mech (except for my Reos of course). I love the looks and I love the button. It's seen daily use for the last three months and I've never had an issue with it. With an MNKE I get a voltage drop of .1 under load (slightly dependent, of course, on what's on top).

Try it first.... Then, like any other modder, you can decide if it needs to be modified!

I'm kind of a noob though. I don't think I'll know the difference. In fact, even with my natural, I haven't gotten the same hit I have since the first build with my RSST. I started messing with it on day 1 and it's never been quite as good. One of the guys at my local vendor built it for me the first time around.

Magneto is a safe bet, huh? Again, is the link supplied above a genuine? Seems like it must be, Smoktech makes relatively cheap products. Having said that, what is the big difference from a $50 mod to a $200 mod, as far as the hit?

Hello fellow nj vaper. You can't go wrong with the kamry k100. You can also order chi you clone or king clone, not that I support clones but they're cheap and I've seen good reviews.
I own 2 bottom firing mech mod, k100 and a authentic SS king. And to be honest, my k100 performs better than my 230 bucks stainless steel battery tube.
