Hello all, I have been searching the forum and can not come up with why :(

I have a provari with a Russian 91%, and love the setup. When I build a 1.3-1.5 ohm coil and set the volts to 3.3 it all good, Setting the volts to 3.7volt burnt and nasty.

How on a Mech mod at 3.7 volts you can vape at 1.3-1.5ohms and everything is good?

I am just trying to figure this out for a while now.

What is the ohm range most of you guys/woman using when using Mech mods.

I work 10 hours a day and just dont have the time to serch alot, By the time I would find the answer, vaping would be obselte, lol

Thanks in adavance

Mike

Sounds like you have wicking issues. I vape my Russian at 30 watts without a problem at all. One of the main things with a kayfun style rba is to fold the wick tails straight up when securing the containment ring around the build then tuck the tails into the juice decks after the outer ring is secured. Otherwise one can easily get fiber caught in the juice channels and block it's wicking potential.

The other thing to focus on is your wick density through the coil, to much and it will choke off the juice flow, to little and won't wick enough juice, just right and she'll vape like no tomorrow.

As for my mech mods go, my builds range from .3-.8 ohms. Think my Russian is at 1.2 ohms but using a DNA30 at max watts to fire it.

I usually run a 1.3 ohm coil, but I'm also using a Kick2 to regulate the wattage output. I'm vaping at a steady 10 watts on my Kayfun.

If you're getting burnt taste then it's probably a wicking issue. The Kayfun seems to like a lot of wick.

When I vape at 3.3volts is good, 3.5 volts and burnt taste, Still think is wicking problem. I have build many coils, On vivi nova, pro tank 2 and drippers and all the same way, good at lower voltage and burnt on little higher voltages. Even with pro tank 2 1.9ohm coils turn up the voltage a little and burnt and nasty. Sorry Bro, trying to wrap my brain around this.

Maybe your Provari is really delivering more voltage than it says.

Have you ever put a volt meter to it to find out if it's claimed 3.3 volts really is 3.3 volts. The vast majority of mech mod users will be throwing their batteries on the charger by 3.4 volts due to poor vapor production. My Kick2 stops firing entirely at 3.2 volts to protect the battery.

Yes, I measured the output voltage with a O-Scope at work, and My provari is +/-.001volt 75% of the voltages.IMG_2634.jpgIMG_2635.jpgIMG_2636.jpg
Tore my build apart again, used little more cotton and WOW 1.6 ohm @ 4.8v vapin @14.4watts/3amp and a beast of a nice Warm, Lots more vapor and sitting here with a Smile on my face :)

I've been building for months and never have a problem with a burnt taste, unless I accidentally let my wick dry up. :)
I usually vape at 20 watts. Right now I have a 1 ohm twisted 28 gauge micro coil on. Favorite so far. Pretty big clouds, pretty dense. Such good flavor. :)
Vape on, brother.

I have all my Kayfuns wrapped at around 2.0ohms. My first just happened to come to that and I loved the vape at 11 watts on my 134. Since then I've tried different wraps up and down the scale and always come back to 2.0ohms. On my Provari's I vape them at no more than 4.4v.

With my wicking straighten out, My provari and Russian 91% with like a Mad Dawg. 1.5ohm with cotton at 5volts is an amazing Vape, I have been missing out the last 8-9 months, lol

Thanks again to all you Boys and Girls, Have been Much Help :)

God Bless You All
