If you have to ask, you're not ready for mech.

That said, you'll do it anyway, do NOT run it without a Kick.

LOL. :)

It amazes me how many people 1) vape a cig-a-like for week. 2) move onto eGo batteries. 3) look into Mechanicals and then mess it all up.

I am 100% sure the O.P. (in this case) will be fine, if he's setting up Kayfun etc. But so many people buy a K100 or KTS and then complain when it vapes like trash.

Either use one with a kick, or know how to set up the right atomizer and make clouds. :)

Greetings Joe, what are you using now with your KF?

I use a 3.1 clone with a Nemsis clone (HCigar), and it's a pretty good combo. But since I started using cotton for my KF builds, I use a regulated mod quite a bit (at least at home). Cotton wicking seems to be able to handle more volts/watts than silica or Ekowool, and 8 or 9 watts works well with some of my e-liquids.

Before you look into getting a mech, have you read up about battery safety and oHms law? There are some very good ECF threads and blogs on this topic. Good luck!

I want to get a good mod to go with my kayfun. Does any one have any help for me.

If your going to get a Mechanical Mod I would suggest an authentic not a clone I just got a Nemesis and an Origin both clones
The quality is just not there the switches are real bad and so are the threads
If they last more than a few weeks I will be amazed
You can run a Kayfun on a VV or Vw mod I have mine on an Itaste 134 @1.6 ohms works awesome :)

You must have some crap clones or didn't clean them first. Biggest trick is to understand how the switches work and adjust the springs (or use magnets for a great improvement). Also, most clones ship without any kind of lubricant on the switch... obviously metal sliding on metal will need this. If you want to pay more for someone else to do this for you then be my guest... All these mechanical mods are just metal tubes.. if someone makes a 1:1 clone (Hcigar) it does not make a difference. Comparing both the real and the clone, they only have a few slight (very slight) cosmetic differences.

I have a maneto andi love it. I went from an eGo, to an iTaste VV v3, to the Magneto in 3 weeks without messing anything up. I read up on everything I could and once I felt comfortable I started using it. Its all about kmowing your voltage drop in relation to your resistance. Once you know that you know how long you can go before changing batteries. I use a Sony 18650 2100mah 30A battery that lasts me 15 hours at my vape rate. Don't let all these posts scare you. Just educate yourself and vape away.

The Stingray Black Copper looks like a winner, or the Big Nastey 26650 mod for long battery life. The Provari, future and VV Beast Box all fire the Russian quite well. Actually prefer the Kayfun/Russian on a regulated mod since it is not well suited for sub ohm builds, and can get more watts out of my regulated mods with it than on my mechanicals. I use my mechs mainly for sub ohm builds, regulated for standard ohms, well at least any thing over .7 ohms that is, get a more consistent vape for charge cycle of the battery with regulated mods.

I'm going to have to totally disagree with that. Just because a person wants other vaper's advice on choosing a new mech mod, which is both a hefty investment and a minefield of choices, doesn't mean that they're necessarily un knowledgeable about vaping, unprepared for a mech, or that this is even their first outing into the wonderful world of mechanicals and RBA's

I 2nd that. I started with a mech because that was all that was available.
