Do you like a sleek tube, or telescopic? What kind of button, top side, bottom side, bottom, bottom flush? Do you plan on running different battery sizes? Do you want your attys to flush mount? Will you be using a kick, fuse, or nothing? There's a mech out there for everyone, it just depends on your preferences, and if you don't mind clones you can find one in just about any price range.

Personally, I really like my pisces clone.

A lot of it depends on what you want to do with it. If you are looking to sub ohm, look for a bottom button and a center pin that is manually adjustable (no spring loaded center pins).
I have an authentic Panzer, and I've heard good things about the clone. If you like the styling, it would be great for sub ohm use.

If you are looking for a normal device (above .6 ohms) then you should look for something that will work with a kick module. The panzer will work, but you have to move down to a 18490 battery. For this use telescoping mods are best. I recently picked up a Chi-You clone, that one comes with an extra battery tube to extend for kick use. It has a spring loaded center pin, so it's not great for sub-ohm, but for normal resistance it's pretty nice. I have seen Chi-You clones with better center pins than mine has, also.

RDAs usually push a mod the hardest (depending on build). The batteries are a great choice. Look for a mod with a bottom button, it will give you room to grow. I would look at the Panzer clones (or authentic if you can afford it and find it available). You may only want to run 1.5 ohm coils (a good place to start anyway), but you will have a setup that can goo super low if you ever want to try it.

I am running 1.3 ohm rda on my svd but in dual coil it takes forever to heat up. I like the look of the panzer but it would need to be the clone for my first mech.
