Ok so sometimes I used a Mechanical mod like my sigelei with a protank that has a 1.8OHM coil in it. It works good but every so often I get a burnt hit and I have to blow it out to get it to taste better. Im guessing this is because The mod im using does not have a VV. So would I be better off to use a 2.2 or 2.5OHm in the protank?

I don't think it's the fault of the mechanical. Sounds like more of a Protank issue. Taking a few quick hits on anything using a silica wick can potentially cause the problem you're having due to it not getting the amount of juice to the coil that you need.

Honestly your issue could be an entire list of things, but the battery I don't believe makes it to that list.

Well I tried that and I also didn't screw the tank down all the way onto the Mod and it seems to work better now so thanks. But im still confused though cause I thought that if you couldn't adjust the voltage than your battery is just putting out all its power and depending on your OHM it could be bad. So would I still get a better hit by switching to a 2.2 or 2.5?

I saw Pbusardo do this little trick. Grab the base and loosen it about a half turn, then screw it back together; don't completely unscrew it. When you do, you will notice a bubble rise from the bottom. It seems to cause a momentary pressure increase in the tank, forcing some juice into the coil.

ahhh, sort of like das boot from the movie Beerfest

Changing to a 2.2 or 2.5 coil isn't going to help wicking issues which is what is giving you your occasional burnt hit. Key words here being occasional. :)

I use a protank all the time on my nemmy clone. Recoiled with a .9Ω microcoil and cotton (7 wraps of 28g kanthal around 1/16" bit). It works flawlessly. Rivals my Kayfun clone. The thing is, a protank needs good airflow to the 510 connection, since that's where it draws air from. Since you have a sigelei mech, I would assume you have a sealed 510 connection. What helps in that situation is drilling out the holes on the protank base, and/or an airflow regulator (can be bought for $2 from a bunch of places). I don't have an airflow regulator. the drilled out base works well for me. Also, when wicking with cotton in the PT, less is more.
