Just started out dabbling with RTA's and I'm finding it difficult to get my coils much above 1.5ohms. On my vamo I'm getting error messages on coils just over 1ohm. Am I right in saying that a fully mechanical mod would be the best match for a rebuildable?
Seen a telescope mod at vape gear and wondered if anyone had any reviews on them? For £30 they look a bargain.

mechanical it just means no limits for power so you have to be aware of discharging the battery faster or down to 2.5 v
use kick with it or protected batteries at least other thing is RBA's work fine with vamo from 1.3 ohm and above but seems you have short some where
try rebuilding your atty again

Im using IMR batteries and although unprotected they are a "safe" option, I've also got the vapesafe board to drop in to stop shorts causing a meltdown. Wouldn't vape quality noticeably drop off before I got anywhere near 2.5v?
Would a kick module not just turn my telescope basically into my vamo?..a limited power mod.
I was hoping to try some low resistance coils which from what I've heard are producing fantastic vapor and the best flavour.

Do not buy a kick, it will be useless if you want to go below 1.2 ohms.

Yes, you need a mechanical mod.

The Natural seems to be a popular one with good performance, the Kamry K100 as well.

Vamos, or any variable device including the kick, cannot be used with low ohm coils, 1.2 or 1.3 ohms is the lower limit. Get a mech mod to truly enjoy vaping where vamos can't go. When using low ohm coils, check it first on a DVM to ensure you don't have a short.

Thanks for replies, I bought the telescope mod I linked to on first post. Main reason for wanting to try some low resistance coils is I'm starting to miss my first cigarette of the day and need a big nicotine boost when I get up, a hot, instantaneous vape with loads of vapor ..and think low resistance is the only way I'm gonna get this.

Yeah, you will probably want half strength liquid in it, if you use it any more than that.

Mechanical is the way to go for sure. I am highly impressed with my aga on the sigelei #8. I use about a 1 ohm coil on it and the vapor is intense. Not to mention, they look fantastic for the price.

I hear ya, I had the same need. My solution was to fill a mini-viva with a nic of 26-28, I usually vape an 18 strength. My juices are DIY, and the mini viva has become my morning vape for a hot, high nic, big throat hit.
