I have been looking at mods to but what is the upside vs a standard battery of youre using the same clearomizer?

What do you mean by "a standard battery"? Are you talking about eGo batteries?

If so then the most obvious upside is you have more power at your disposal so you can vape at higher wattages and vape longer between charges. Typically a mech mod user will have a topper that an eGo can't sufficiently power.

Ego batteries like yours push out about 3.3-3.4 volts. A fully charged mech mod is starts at 4.2 volts and drops to around 3.7 volts for normal vaping. By the time the voltage drops down to eGo levels a mech mod user is usually putting it on the charger.

This means the mech mod user is pushing a lot more power to the coil which results in more vapor production, even using the same clearos and coils on both the mech and eGo.
