So I am perusing Health Cabin and thinking maybe I might want to try out this new tanking system for the 510. I've been just using the stock one with no mods for about two years now and have been loving it. I live and work down here in the Costa Rican rainforest, so I am out of the loop in alot of ways. For instance I didn't even know a "Mega" 510 battery even existed until tonight. I do hate the appallingly low battery time I get, so methinks it time to upgrade.

But right here it's saying that I shouldn't use a LR atty (just now discovered those too) with a mega battery? Why is that? And further, is it a warning I can ignore?

One more question too....

Is this "tank" system more or less of a pain in the rear than just my plain old vanilla un-moded 510? I appreciate any input you good folks can gimmie!

Hi!
Has for tank systems i simply don't like them but still i am willing to help anyone that has them.
There is in fact LR tank atty but here is the problem...you should only get a LR if the battery is above 400mAh. The Mega battery is 280mAh (if i am not mistaken) so it won't be advisable to use it. Why?
Simple...LR drains battery faster and so, even with a "mega" you may drain it faster and charge it more times reducing the lifespan of the battery.

My advice is, if you want to maintain the tank system, get a eGo battery (900 mAh will last you a day or more), a cone and a ego charger (for the price of all this you might buy a starter eGo kit that will have all of this for just about the same money).
This way, you can use your old attys, the LR 510-T attys, LR attys....Hell...all the 510 attys you want without breaking a sweat.

If you want to keep the plain 510 system...well you can use those 510 LR tank but i don't advise it.
