Mega cartos and V4L XL manuals

Has anyone had success pairing the Ikenvape Mega LR808 cartos with their XL manual V4L batteries?

I've tried 2 of these cartos with fully charged batteries and they just don't work. They'll start to vape for about one second then they'll "stall", then try again for a second then stall again.

I realize those cartos will shorten the charge time of the batteries, but to 1 second?

The batteries work great with the Cool Cart and Wow cartos, so it's not the batteries (I don't think).

I'm using the Ikenvape Mega LR808 on a couple of XL manuals from V4L right now and it great. I've been using two since 10pm last night so I could charge all of my eGo T batteries. Still working fine at 12:30pm local time. I intended to switch back over to my eGo's but I'll wait until my 4VLs run out of power. They work great and I've had no problems with them on the XL manuals

Steevie, I am having the same issue with IKVLR808 and I think all the 2.0 from any suppliers are pickey of what battery they will work on...some work great on the XL VK manual battery and some start then quit and that goes for all of my other suppliers 808 battery's. I have actually only had good luck with the VK manual battery's....and that is hit and miss, try testing cartos and find one that works.
I have discovered that actually VK is the only 808 that works with IKVLR mega carto 2.0 and at that only the manual battery.
The LR2.0 are wonderful on the ego battery with 808 adapter.

Thanks for the replies. The only reason I wouldn't try the others is that I'm 0 for 2 and I'd like to send the rest back. I think I'm done with these cartos and don't want to waste more money experimenting. Does that make sense?

I'll stick with what I know works... The Wow and Cool Carts.

Steve, I used Iken's 808 mega cartos (40+) with V4L's XL mans almost exclusively for two months, even traveled abroad with them and nothing else. I had no trouble with compatibility. I liked three aspects a lot: the megas vaped for a lot longer than usual, the draw was smooth and easy, and the vapor production was great. I thought I'd found what I wanted in the megas.

But I disliked something so much that I recently went back to V4L's CoolCarts: the megas' flavors tasted a little weaker, thinner, less full, and even with a very slight aftertaste in some cases... despite producing very nice clouds of vape. When I eventually returned to the CCs, just to AB them after my time away, I found the flavs so rich and tasty that I realized my mega days were over--at least with the current options I've tried. BTW, I had a similar reaction to Nhalers' megas, which I'd dropped early due to their glued end caps.

So it's CCs all the way for me for now, and fortunately my move to syringe refilling has helped me get more mileage out of the CCs. I feel totally set for now. Keep in mind, though, that I vape 100% VG juices, which may affect my results. Good luck with your own search, bud.

Thanks Jeff, I believe I'm going to stick with the CC's as well. I have one of my original CCs that I've been topping off for 4 weeks and it still seems good as new.

I had just heard some fantastic things about Iken's stuff that I had to try it. Oh well, live and learn I suppose. Others may have better results as I'm sure it's a very good product.

So, I have 28 of these things if anyone is interested in trading. Brand new in the boxes, never even had the condoms off of them.................

Agreed. He seems like a great guy, and his stuff gets solid reviews in ECF. The weak-flav drawback I mentioned may be due to the juice I'm using or a voltage mismatch--wait, I mentioned no compatibility probs, but you know what I mean. Too bad really because I liked the megas in most ways. BTW, I won't be surprised if V4L comes out with some good megas some day.

I gave mine to my wife. Seriously! Then she tried one of my CCs last week and said very simply, "I want those 'filters' from now on. They taste better." Darn.

Thanks to the OP for this post as I was going to order some of Iken's cartos for my XL VKs. The thought of a long lasting mega carto was the really making me happy. And I had read so many good reviews of them, I thought they would be terrific. So, thanks guys, for the information that just saved me money. (And I have already spent way too much on vaping products already).

This is the problem that we have found with all of the mega that we have tested. They just don't seem to vape consistently

Well, I'm sorry I even strayed from V4L. Why go away from quality products and customer service? Again, lesson learned and I'm even more committed to V4L.

I have CC's and wow carto's, and some very old original cartos that V4L was using. IMHO, the best cartos are the wow ones. I like them way better then the original's and they are the same as the CC's to me anyway.
