On my 3rd day of non analog dying (smoking). My husband and i have been vaping for around 2 weeks now and it was so easy to cut down. I went from 1 1/2ppd to about 5 or 6. Then i decided this weekend to get serious about it and have easily made it 3 days smoke free. I took a hit off another artists cig at the tattoo shop i work at and tasted pure horror! Nasty nasty burny grossness. My clothes dont stink my challenger has no ashes in it and it smells good too. Life is good.
Oh and my husband is still alive. yay for me.

Well my story goes like this. Four years ago my husband of 25 years then quit cold turkey the weekend our daughter got married in Florida. He had a health scare that thank goodness didn't turn into any problem, but was enough for him. He used Chantix and actually did quite well. My problem at the time was I enjoyed smoking and just wasn't ready to quit. I have also had issues from time to time with depression, so Chantix was not an option. I ordered my first pv - a pen style and did really try to use it for several months, even purchased a starter kit for my dad. Things just didn't go well as there were too many episodes of sucking up the juice when trying to vape. Last summer my beloved mother in-law passed away. One thing I chose to do was purchase a little Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy. Well hubby found my weak spot and the deal was, quit smoking if you want a puppy. Got online and started to research and ordered a KR808 GS kit. Well, it sucked...I couldn't stand the flavor or lack of satisfaction. I then did more research and found another KR808 company ST and ordered a starter kit. There product was really satisfying to me and gave me the ammunition to quit. I also ordered my father a starter kit and he hasn't touched an analog since - this was back in October 2010. We liked the product but the batteries just couldn't keep up with our non-stop vaping, so did more research. I stumbled upon yet another KR808 company and ordered new hardware and several carts..then the bliss began. Just a couple of months ago a good friend of mine sent me a Volt auto battery and I was then IN LOVE... I got on the website and ordered the sampler carts and a couple of more batteries and haven't looked back since. The batteries and carts from Smokeless Image have truely become my best friends. I still use my other hardware and carts from time to time, but they do not compare. My biggest pleasure of my vaping journey has been to convert my father, brother, sister in law and most recently my uncle along the way. We are all healthier, happier and wealthier (well maybe not wealthier yet:) I must say Thank You to all of the people that have supported me along the way. Vape On my Friends at ECF....

IowaGirl...Chantix almost worked for me too, but sadly enough I had taken in one of my daughter's wayward friends who has a fierce case of OCD and was also taking Chantix. Things went well for about a month until wayward friend felt compelled to open and file away all my mail before I even got to read it...and started taking the neighbors mail out of their box and sticking it on their stairs....federal offense, anyone? lol As most know, Chantix can make people either suicidal or homicidal. Well...I was dang close to getting all homicidal and popping a cap in that girl's patootie! That ended my stint on Chantix. I wanted to quit smoking, but not enough to risk going to the big house for stuffing someone in the mailbox, lol.

lol...I forgot to add that Chantix made wayward friend homicidal too. All of my adult kids and my then 8 year old lived with us both and they later told me it was like living with a ticking time bomb and just hoping it didn't explode, lol. Both of us ended up stopping the Chantix and going back to smoking. Suffice to say...Chantix is NOT safe for more than one person in a household to take at one time, lol. (They should put that on a warning label or something!)

My husband was diagnosed with COPD. He was on oxygen 24/7. He did not stop smoking nor did I. We tried everything! Welbutron was helping but after about a month we started getting what we thought was side effects from it. Told our doctor what was going on. He just kinda shrugged it off! Upshot was we gave up on it.

I found out about 3 months ago from post here on ECF that what we had experienced was the side effects of stopping smoking, NOT from Welbutron!!!! Can you imagine how angry I was?

After 5 years my husband went into the hospital on a Sunday, was ventilated that evening and diagnosed with lung cancer Monday.

We were told there was nothing to be done. It was to far along. They said the best thing to do was to take him of the ventilator even though they expected him to die within a few hours when that was done. He was drugged so he wouldn't fight the ventilator and this way he may regain consciousness so we could say good by.

He never did though he lasted till Wednesday afternoon. He never stopped smoking until he went into the hospital.

I never stopped. *sigh* I know you all will think we were stupid and we were.

Cigarette addiction is a terrible thing for some. You notice I did not say nicotine addiction. If it was just nicotine you were addicted to the patch, gum etc. would have worked.

Then about 4 months ago I found E-Cigs! Then SI. What a difference! Every breath I take I thank SI and E-Cigs. You have no idea what a blessing you are.

If you had only been around 5 or 6 years ago.......
