I was walking around outside with my e-cig in my shirt pocket like I always do. I reached in to take a puff but when I pulled it out it was really hot, so I put it back. I didn't think too much about it since the weather was hot.
When I got inside to a cool place, I was surprised to find that it was still hot. I have never felt it get this hot before. I looked at it and noticed that the light at the tip was on, like it was being used. The cartridge on the other end had melted, revealing a part of the atomizer.
I put it back in my pocket. When I checked again later the e-cig wasn't hot anymore, and the light was off. The fully charged battery had been used up.
What could have caused this? The only thing that I did differently was that I started refilling my e-cig with fluid. I had dripped fluid into the battery portion where it connects with the atomizer, but that didn't last long, so I tried dripping fluid in the atomizer portion. Could this have caused it?
