Just as an aside to all the seriousness and frivolity of our forum , I am a bit of an animal lover , and was wondering about the weird and wonderful pets/ animals that might grace the company of fine folk such as us?

My household.....

Bonnie the Wonderboof !!! my chocolate labrador and best mate !
Craig ... The Murray Crayfish
Touche... the long-necked turtle
Buttercup, Caramel, Cinnamon,Molly, Spot and Nugget My Dorper/Darama ewes ( sheep) and Victa the ram.
multiple zebra finches ( and babies)
Goldfish by gazillions lol
Various Chickens/Fowl/Bantams
Multiple geckos that live in/around the house
Multiple skinks " " " " "
Grass parrots that hang around the back door,
And the neighbours large black pigs when they get hungry and pay me a visit!!

Don't have any animals at present. My cat is gone a year and I'd feel like I'd be cheating on her if i got another so soon. Tried to keep a slug that I found at work but it died before I had the chance to give it a proper home (more like disintegrated). So I don't have a list, but I do have the best (and probably only) story you'll ever read about a blind cat called Homer (promise):

I have 2 dogs, one big boy Ridgeback officially named: Solomon but gets called, Sol, Solly, Dolly, baby (he's the youngest).

I also have my darling female Staffy Officially named: Phoenix, but gets called Phoe, Phoe-hee, Phoe-nut, mama (had pups years ago), and various other high pitched garble that comes out of my my mouth when I see my babies. :)

I also have various Cichlids in a large tank....since my Oscars died last year I don't name the fish anymore :( I also had a red claw Crayfish in there, he managed to survive out of a bunch of 4....he ate his mates then holed up in a log for days and finally came out and started picking fights with the other fish. He was eaten by my flowerhorn late last year :(

I had 4 walking fish, but donated them to my nephew.....he has 1 left!

these are my kids. Roxy, is a tweenie (meaning not a miniature or a standard) dachshund and her little brother Kricket, a one of a kind pembroke-welsh corgi. We have yet to see another corgi with the same color pattern that he has. Roxy's a doll and Kricket's a 6-month old pain in the .....

And don't make fun of my kids wearing sweaters. They get too freakin' cold in this old drafty apartment.

I have a dog grooming salon.. and love grooming all dog breeds.. but personally we have Lucy, a blind Jack Russell Terrier and Holly, a toy Rat Terrier. They are very spoiled.. but very sweet girls :)

We also have a hand-me-down box turtle named Rex (that belonged to my nephew) and 2 love birds and 2 parakeets.

An Old English Sheepdog, nine years, called Poppy (proper name: Kerjalee Charming Moments....) in convalescence after having a stainless steel hinge implanted in a knee joint. No stairs for 3 months so we are taking turns sleeping downstairs to keep her company - and no, we are not besotted.

An ecosphere given to my son for Christmas, so eight shrimp as well.

Here she is at 3 months of age ... We went to a puppy party, but she was too scared to play with the other puppies. She was real quiet and easy going when she was little. She just sat in the pool and watched the other puppies play.

Bath Time !!! This was probably her 20th bath. She had some bowel problems when she was little. Found out she was allergic to grain. So now we have to get her really expensive grain free food .... sigh .... The things you do for the love of a puppy ...
