So I have a bunch of flavors which aren't menthol. Since menthol is the new "bacon", I'd like to add menthol to them. I do have a few questions though: (searched the forums, but only found a thread regarding purchasing in Singapore)

1. I hear a little goes a long way. How much should I purchase? I have maybe 10, 6ml - 10ml bottles I'd like to add to.
2. Do the DYI calculators have measurements for menthol crystals?
3. After they are added, do I need to let my juice steep for a time period before enjoying its deliciousness?
4. What is more effective, actual crystals or a menthol liquid?

I checked these sites, but didn't see crystals listed for purchase.

You get them from DIY shops, like The Perfumers Apprentice, VoidMist, Blue Mist. I actual prefer working with the liquid menthol concentrate -- VoidMist and TPA sell it, basically they've just done the work of dissolving the crystals in pure grain alcohol. No futzing around with crushing/dissolving, easy to get consistent results. With VoidMist liquid menthol concentrate, I use about 1 ml per 30 of final eliquid to get a pure menthol. If you just want to spice up something, even less would be needed. Just add a handful of drops (20 - 30 drops per ml), shake, and test. If you're happy write down the mix, else add a few more drops. 15ml of the voidmist alcohol based liquid concentrate is under $4, and their shipping is pretty reasonable. Very awesome info. Thanks so much for the quick reply. I think I'll go with the liquid concentrate for the ease and expense. Buying grain in PA can be a hassle and hard to find around here. Last time I bought a bottle, I had to complete a form with all of my contact info and what not..weird.

On a side note, making Jello shots with grain alcohol doesn't work that well. :p

Clarification -- you don't need to add 20 - 30 drops per ml of eliquid, but rather 20 - 30 drops of the concentrate would equal one ml of it.

Here in NY PGA is also not available. When I need to use something like it, I buy Devil's Springs 160 proof vodka (plenty close enough).
