Okay, so I've been making posts here and there, gathering information on a box mod + Aspire Atlantis purchase. However, I've simultaneously admitted to myself that no juices really do the trick for me except Halo SubZero. And my long vaping experience tells me that menthols work brilliantly at not-so-high wattages because they have the kick-you-in-the-throat effect built in to them already. I'm currently at around 11-12 watts all day, every day, running Aspire (non-nautilus) BVC's.

So, my question is... is sub-ohming with menthol a painful disaster? Or in other words, if I were to stick with SubZero as my only juice, would an Aspire and high wattage mod be a completely pointless purchase? Thanks! :)

At a certain level menthol produces the "Icy-Hot" effect. I'd be wary. That said, I occasionally like my menthol so strong I can feel it up to my ears and will drip a few drops of 10% menthol solution right on the coil for that extra boost.

Edit: I forgot to mention, I can't lung hit my DIY menthol, as my lungs start to feel like I'm breathing -20F cold air.

Thank you, that's what I thought. Maybe I should try to find a mint (as opposed to my super strong menthol) juice that I like. That would probably be better in an Atlantis (or the Eleaf Melo that's coming out).

These look interesting:

The Plume Room Creamy Mint
Vape Wild Spearmint
Vape Wild Twin Mint
ITC Wintermint
Ahlusion Sweet Chill

A hearty +1 on the switching to mint idea. I can't stand to subohm menthol myself, while I love it at ~1.2ohms and 10 watts. I can, and do, subohm the crap out of spearmint, however, and it gets me the same feel as the menthol did with less intense vaping.

If you're looking for a nice cheaper juice to experiment with, MBV's Twin Mint is quite good.
