I've only tried Menthol from TPA (perfumer's apprentice) It's VERY strong. I mean, like literally add 1 drop per 10ml of juice to start. Also, make sure you use separate EVERYTHING (syringes, pipettes, atomizers, etc) when using anything mentholated as it is very difficult to get out. I was making juice one day and I have a bowl of hot water to clean out my syringes in between flavors/etc. I was using menthol (very small amount) and it tainted the entire water. It's crazy how potent the stuff is. It also may not be a bad idea to dilute it even more, which actually is what I'm going to do. (add a drop to some vg and use that to add menthol to my juices because when I don't, it always comes out too mentholated) Keep in mind, I usually do only 6ml to 10ml at a time.

I just recently decided to start adding some menthol into my mixes. I decided to go with mentho crystals - it's a lot cheaper that way. I researched a lot but was still kind of confused how to disolve the crystals .. but I gave it a try, anyway. I added 2ml of crushed up crystals into a grad cylinder and then topped up to 10ml with PG. Shook it until fairly well dissolved and then poured into a drip bottle for dispensing . .and then shook that some more until fully dissolved.

With this mixture 1 drop per ml gives me a nice menthol effect. 1.5 drops per ml is quite intense. I think this is easier to fine tune than something that you use 1 drop per 10ml - especially if you like to make small batches.

I use 1 drop of TPA Menthol per 2ml liquid for strong menthol. A drop more than that and I feel like I am inhaling a super concentrated Altoid. That is for straight menthol-flavored juice. If you're just looking to add a bit of cool to a fruit or tobacco mix, I would use much less like Rin suggested. You can always add more!

I haven't messed with crystals at all yet. The already-mixed 10% solutions last a long time, so I am willing to pay for the convenience as long as the pre-mixed solutions are available. I heard placing your bottle of PG in a cup of hot water helps dissolve it.
