Congrats on a great looking Reo and Welcome to Reoville.

When I started it took a while for me to figure out patience when squonking, harder pressure does not help, even pressure for bit longer works great. I find a full bottle needs a count of three while pressing and 1/2 bottle needs around a 5 count.

Here's the inverted V you want to cut in the bottom of the tube, a sharp paring knife makes it easy to do.

Help me out for reference, could someone post or link me to a picture of proper coil placement, and then proper Cotten placement? I'm still getting dry hits a lot and I know that's why! Don't understand what I'm not getting wrong. Thanks guys!
that youTube link in super's signature right above your post be what your looking for.

General rule for dry hits, your either not squonking enough or have too much cotton in there.

Pull the drip tip and watch as you squonk if juice reaches at least half way up the coil you're good there and are probably chocking the coil with too much wick.

Alright. Cleaned the whole REO set up. Cut a very small V into the tube. That was lots more difficult than I thought that was going to be [emoji28]
Made a new coil, placed into the RM2 per video. And rewicked, per all suggestions.
So far the squonking is much easier, and while I haven't put it through all the paces yet, I think it will perform better without as many dry hits. Previously, I'd try to squonk every other hit, but it'd still be dry.
Pics below. Coil was built on my evic for its ohms reader. I don't have a fancy box reader. So that's why it's in the pictures lol.

So what do you guys think? Better?

Looks good. Couple of niggling things:

    * not sure of coil height, but what you want is for it to be directly behind the air hole, so adjust it up or down to make this happen.

    * Just watch that the one wick tail is not restricting the drain hole.

    * Check that the one longer leg is not hot when firing (I assume you have it to get the coil to match the air hole in the cap when screwed on).

Play around with it a bit, too. Even very small adjustments to the coil placement can have a big effect - the cool thing about the RM2 is that you can fool around with it to observe the different effects and dial in your perfect vape.

Come on back with your impressions and we can go from there.

This set up has been working very well. You guys are correct, my coil is slightly askew from the air hole. The bottom left corner of the coil is exactly where the air hole is. While I was building it, it seemed as if I placed the coil directly in front of the air hole there would be no room for cotton.

It's getting to be coil time again, so I'll try some more adjusted placement and see how that goes...

That does seem to be about the amount of cotten that I like. It has a good, juicy amount of Vape time between squonks. Speaking of, I did a couple tube modifications and that's gotten much better as well. I made the v a little easier, and scrunched it up just a tad so it wasn't so at the very bottom of the bottle.

Btw, it's so cool that all the awesome things you hear about reos are true :B
