Oh! Norrin, you're one of those people who say, "I was just kidding!"

well yes and no, I only bother about Christmas because I have a kid it has no special meaning and it gets more and more commercial every year........BUT I'm not one of those people who thinks it should be banned or suppressed in any way.

On a related note, do you have places in America that have banned Christmas or put restrictions on things Christmassy because it might upset people? Because that is just terrible, surely the basic message of Christmas is a good thing.

All over America, people are trying to get Christmas and everything Christmas related banned and outlawed. It really is pretty sad. I wish it could go back to the way it was when I was a kid. You know, when if someone didn't like or agree with something they just didn't do it, instead of trying to get it banned and ruin everyone else's joy. Now we are to the point that anything that offends muslims must be banned. If I could afford it, I would be moving somewhere that doesn't have such political correctness.

Not really. Merry Christmas becomes Happy Holidays but that's about it. Most towns still put up what I would call traditional Christmas decorations, stores still have trees and play Christmas songs (starting the day after Thanksgiving usually ) and most people are not offended either way.

Of course there will always be some fun-sucking nobody that makes it their personal wish to be professionally offended about something somebody did or said one time... and that same person will get loads local news interviews and column inches.

Meanwhile the rest of us just get on with jangling our bells.

So Happy Hanukah, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

Christmas is alive in America and in Colorado. No ban here.
