Mesh Wick Type

Hi guys, been looking for some SS mesh in Canada. What is the recommended type? I'm going for 270 but not sure what the wire size should be. Is this one good?

Welcome but not familiar , sounds like the wrong size to me . I use a 400 size I get on eBay . Around 5.00 for a 6x6 inch piece . makes lots of wicks . As for wire , also from eBay . Kanthal or Nichrome 32 gauge is what I have been using . If not on eBay , then just google for a company selling heating wires , should find what you need . They may even have the mesh . You can also go over to the Canadian forum , and ask there . They are sure to know of some place . Good Luck .

Hi, you can also use 325, if you are using thicker juices, me thinks. Kanthal or nichrome 32 - 36 depending on the ohms and amount of coil you require, there seems to be a debate regarding metal taste with either but just tempering the wire before setting coil should take that away, otherwise it, goes after a couple of ml's have passed throught the tank.
