The local shop uses 100% VG in their juice.... I'm new to vaping so I am not sure what is up, but my little eGo + clearo (I think its a CE3) is having some issues. One juice, a tobacco flavor, is giving me issues. The draw gets harder and harder. Last time I have the clearo a good cleaning with some russian water and when I refilled, it was night and day, good vapor, easy draw. All was well.

Now this morning, it was back to drawing like I am sucking through a cocktail straw..

The juice is really thick... is it just gumming up the works so to speak or am I just doing it wrong. :)

Some clearo tanks don't handle super thick VG juices. I vape Boba's Bounry which is tobacco 100%VG and is notorious for clogging clearo heads. I have to rotate them after each tank and soak the heads in vodka to let them air dry. If you are going to vape all VG you might want to experiment with different tank systems. Or you could try some PG/VG liquids from other vendors. Good luck.

yeah... what I am vaping is a tobacco 100% VG... thick stuff. I have some other flavs that are thinner and don't have the issue. Thanks, I figured it was just the goop I was throwing in there. What are the best tanks for thick juices?

My answer does NOT really belong in the "New Members" section but I think you are going to find the higher VG juices work best in something with a stainless wick or at least a dripper. I vape 50/50 exclusively and if they are going in a clearo or a vivi they end up in a glass full of vodka after a couple of tank fulls. My drippers are much more friendly that way and my ss wicked AGA-T2 is going strong after several tanks of the thicker stuff.

How dare you make Oktyabr answer in the New Members Forum. I don't think my reply to your answer belongs here either. :D

Seriously VG is tough. It's thick. You can add a drop of DISTILLED water or even a drop of Russian Water to thin it out. I'm not a big fan of SS wick. Though many are. I remember my Kanger EVOD wicking VG well with the stock silica heads. Not the ProTank though. Odd. Because the atomizer heads are identical.

Maybe down the road try natural wick. It works the best in the EVOD and ProTank. Wicks bobas and gorilla like a sponge. All I use now. Down the road.

I've found that the flavors in liquids are more the culprit than the type. VG might get a bad rap because it's thick and if it's not wicking well it's burning what little liquid there is onto the coil and wick. Caking it up.

Darker juices tend to be culprits.

Yes, Eddie is right. It's the viscosity of your eliquid that matters. Most glycerin used in ejuice making is diluted with water. Try adding a bit of water (1 or 2 drops per ml) and see if makes a difference. That said, if your eliquid contains a lot of sediment, you're going to have problems. Coloring, flavoring, sweeteners, and NET tobaccos all contribute to coil gunk--those unvaporized particles will stick to the heating coil and caramelize into a thick, gooey crust.

If your juice is like that, you'll have to clean your coils daily. And dry burn them. Or toss them and install a new one. :D
