Hi Folks,

I've been lurking and learning for a few months - started vaping last January, thanks in huge part to this forum and all the information and opinions made available here. Awesome. Anyway, I've come to like using cartomizers for all the usual reasons and tried Boge first. They are great and I still use them, but when I decided to upgrade to an eGo battery, I tried a few other cartos, including the large eGo one and I've gotten that yucky plastic taste from every one I've tried. So my question is, is Boge the only option out there for a metal cartomizer? Are all others made out of plastic? I think I would have liked the eGo carto if it had been made of metal. If anyone knows of another 510/eGo compatible cartomizer made of metal, I'd love to hear of it.

Thanks!

Cheryl

You can get the CE2 cartomizers in metal or clear plastic. The latest revisions are pretty good, they still have some issues with the plastic ones with cracking and fitting but as far as wicking and taste these have come a long way.

They don't use filler though, you'll either need a needle to fill them or you can pull out the top ring with a paperclip or whatever and drip along the side just like you do with the boge.

Thanks! I checked them out and will probably give some a try. To answer the question about problems with Boge - No real problems except I wish they held a little more liquid and lasted longer. I can just get five of them to last two weeks, which is not really that bad money-wise - I just hate throwing things away all the time. I vape a lot (I think - I refill about four cartos a day) and have to make myself slow down when the carto gets hot, so I figure I must still be burning them up a little all along and by the last few days they just won't hold as much liquid and lose flavor faster. I wonder if the "coiled element" in the cartos at Ikenvape means the wicking happens faster so less likely to burn?

Thanks again,

Cheryl

SLB makes metal stuffing type cartos and I hate them compared to Boge

Ikenvapes has a bunch of metal cartos

Most cartos are metal. Those plastic things are recent inventions. I recommend soft-cap types for standard stuffing-filled cartos

The CE2 reservois cartos some in metal, not just clear plastic - see GotVapes (they call them all fluxomizers) and be sure to get the refill syringe. The CE-2's are the only metal reservoir cartos I know of
